I hope it's just a rumor! We'll see after Saturday? That's supposedly when the first one gets installed?Camera's in trucks kinda rumor , but there is a real need for camera's in all terminals !!!
Rumor is true the are installing them in indy. But not really cameras just a lane departure system no visual recording at all. Left of right in cab beep when close to zipper or shoulder.

I heard they were putting forward facing cameras in Cleveland tractors, starting with the first one installed on Saturday.?Rumor is true the are installing them in indy. The "lane departure systems" are a good thing guys. They have detectors on the sides of the cab and front bumper. When you are too close to the center line or the white line, you'll hear a vibration noise that alerts you to center your truck better in the lane. And they also have a detector for following too close to the vehicle in front of you. If you're tailgating, a beeper sounds off, letting you know that you need to increase your following distance. And some of the newer trucks will actually shut down if your are bearing down on a vehicle at too fast of a rate.Rumor is true the are installing them in indy. I'm sure they are nice. But for a company that continually cries poor, they are an unnecessary expenseThe "lane departure systems" are a good thing guys. Don't be afraid of these lane departure systems........I think that they're a good thing since they will enhance your space and visibility for safe driving.
Yeah they wouldnt want a driver to dent up a fender. They would rather it rust off on its ownI agree. They've got better things to spend their money on.
Like maybe upgrading some of their rattle traps that are rolling down the road.
All about cheaper insurance, if you ask me. That's why most carriers that have cab cams have them. Stuff like this is invading the insurance industry, with promises of cheaper insurance if you install recorders in your car and drive safely to prove you aren't a risk.
It's a scam waiting to happen, if you ask me. Anyone who 100% abides by all laws 100% of the time is a form of road hazard to those who do not, known as an obstacle. And if you're not a perfect driver, this junk will jack up your rates, guaranteed.
You get to a point that you don't even hear the beeping after awhile...and they really suck in the Mtns and curvy roads with guardrails ..beep beep beep beep beep....it's just a ploy to keep guys happy to keep a worn out International..LOLThe "lane departure systems" are a good thing guys. Maybe they upgraded the buzzers?? I guess if they are that loud now, somebody will sue for hearing loss..lolWhen I have driven trucks with these the buzzer was loud enough to wake the dead. So sharpshooter you either used a much different system or you might want to get your hearing checked.
