I will be starting as linehaul driver in a few weeks in North Lima Ohio, I have the basic understanding on what is expected from a new guy, but still a little fuzzy on the 6 tour, 12 tour thing, also can someone explain how it will work for me after I get back from run, have my ten hours off, then I just wait to get called, or can I call in and find out what time I will be going back out? If anyone can give me any help on this I would greatly appreciate it.

Brother, I'd try to get ahold of the steward,....he can fill you in on the barn conditions and customs. Dispatch should be able yo give you his number.

Or call the Local Union and ask them if he could give you a call. I doubt that they would distribute his number.

thank-you
You're running out of North Lima,.......you'll probably run in to my terminal. Greensburg- 310. If you stop in, ask for the steward,......They'll say:"Do you mean that pesky loudmouth troublemaker? "......Say yes, and they will introduce you to me.....

I work out of north Lima Ohio. When u get back from a run you can do an 8 for 10, 10 for 12 or 12 for 14. They might try to tell u that u can't do a 12 for 14 but you can. You will be on a hog board, which is when a senior driver clears he goes right ahead of you on the board. You might get called on rest or you might lay 8 hours or longer. Who knows just depends on how busy we are. It's tough at first but it gets better. I will be there 10 years in July of this year. There is a lot to learn, but you will get the hang of it. Good luck and welcome to the best terminal in the system.

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it, and sure I will be meeting you sometime soon. I will also make sure if I do end up stopping in Greensburg looking Canary up! Thanks again
