So I work alone at night went in not feeling that great because I am out of sick days . I go in I live 1 hour from terminal I start vomiting and feeling real hot I call the t.m no pick up at 1am . I told him I am sick and Going home in a message on his cell phone friday morning .come in on Sunday night on the next week and I start to feel sick again and vomit with the dock supervisor there he said you should not be here if your sick so I go home 1hour early before my 8 hours and got a letter for that also. So sick of the retaliation from management I am the steward and since I filed grievances I've been cut back to 8 hours a day. only person that's been cut in over time and he writes me up for every single thing .Just so sick of the morons in management

You need to take some notes and file grievance(s) AND an NLRB charge for retaliation for engaging in union activities. Whether they like it or not, whether you win or not they will have to respond to the labor charge. Technically your Local should do it for you but most of them don't have a clue what they are doing.

I agree filing charges with nlrb may be best route. They're having fun screwing with you now, but having to answer to the nlrb won't be a lot of fun for them. Sometimes you have to brush back the batter to get them off the plate. That will serve notice that your not going to get screwed over and just take it.

Next time , vomit all over the manager.

Brother an honest days work for an honest days pay, time for you to buck back at the BS they are sending your way. First of all get your notes and fact together and file a NLRB charge and follow that up with a grievance to appropriately compensate you for all lost wages for the run around claims. For not offering you work and allowing jr men more earning opportunities than you because your status as a steward would be a slam dunk grievance. Remember it is your job as a steward to enforce and protect the contract and let them know it.....

Read your contract there is a wealth of information there if you apply it right... Good Luck brother
You did say 3 days suspension??? Hope they did a progressive discipline? Just wondering:idunno:

One more reason to use your sick days for when you are really sick.....so you have them when you need them.
