Yellow | Big Vote Coming in Central States Fund Don't Let Them Divide Us!

I understand that. Still, nothing is in writing yet, so try to tell people how to vote is putting the cart before the horse.

Main reason I post that is because a few on here scream that anyone questioning anything and not automatically voting NO are ' Lollypops, unicorns, hunting for turds, etc.etc,etc.'. I'm not the kind to sit in misery all day, nor to force others to join me in that misery. Such is sad to live that way...

Get the Facts, in writing. Then decide...

(Mine will cut too)

You obviously have not been to the Pension meetings or have been paying attention to what Freightmaster1 has been posting.....OUR vote means nothing. ....they can override a 100% NO vote......so we need to vote NO as a symbolic suggestion as to how WE the members and retirees feel....KK

If they get a majority yes vote, they will think they are doing the " Right Thing", and we are all happy with it. What a Crock! I am voting NO, because I am not happy, not that I think it is the right thing to do. But because something smells fishy in Illinois. :cuss: This thing is spreading like wild fire. My wife got a letter just today saying, what her pension is funded at, guess what ?, it was funded better last year and now it is underfunded. What Happened other than the new bill passed by congress and your pres. passed it. My dr. said" he has been reading about all of this and he says, they are coming after the 401k's next. Maybe it is just his opinion or he see some truth in it. :drama:

I'm a vested member too.Mine will have the same cuts as yours. I've seen the posts. What is it that you believe you are voting on? So far there have been a hundred or so threads- nothing in them to vote on! Nothing in writing to vote on yet. Just a lot of feel-good ado about nothing so far....

(and not only can the Trustees override a No Vote- the US Treasury can as well. Treasury gets the final Approval- IF and When CSPF ever proposes something...l)

DAD, as you know sooner or later we will have something to vote on. Central States wants the cuts, and most likely needs them. The Law is passed and the process is moving forward. I just do not want anybody to think we like this or are willing to be thrown under the bus. I will forever think the cuts should be even across the board for active and current Teamsters. My opinion is that what ever it is to vote on someday may be needed but I do not have to vote for it. They ( the almighty leaders ) will do what ever they want to do to fix things, it is out of our control, even though we will rant and rave, For or against means nothing except showing them we are not for this, as it was not our fault. And no, I do not know how to solve this man made mess. :lmao: Happy trails to you.

Well...history (recent history at that) shows that rioting in the streets for weeks on end burning and pillaging everything in sight gets their attention better than anything else does.

Hate to throw water on their proposed solution, but pension relief is a fairy tale as long as republicans control congress. Their thing is crushing unions not helping them.

The unions spent your money lobbying for the multiemployer pension reform act that was passed by the lame duck congress late last year. Was the congress all republican? Senate was controlled by Dems, I believe.

Shoot! if I started tearing things up, I would lose control of myself and burn down my own home and then the stores I frequent most. Then what would I do? I would have to miss my five pm call at the local bottle shop. Well you can't just go out and replace a good ole local pub. I guess I will leave the riots to the more qualified people, they are doing what they think is best for their cause. :scratchhead:

Well yea, it's a complex case. First you burn your own neighborhood down. Then you'll need to move and go trash another neighborhood. They don't really care when you burn your own down except that they try to extinguish the fires but when you move into the next neighborhood...that's when they really get the point.

Who is "they" and what exactly is the point? I'd really like to learn more about how these techniques work.

Plex is obsessed with me and he thinks he bests me with every post I make. I just ignore him and let him have his fun.

Obsessed with you? Are you living in some fantasy world or just suffering from an overabundance of narcissism?

No fantasy or narcissism here. You'll respond to this one too you can't help yourself.

Let me see if I get this right....

When you respond to my post it's just normal give-and-take between two posters.

When I respond to your post it means I'm obsessed with you.

You are truly delusional. Isn't therapy covered by Teamster heath insurance? Get help.
