FedEx Freight | Does anybody know how many minor accidents disqualifly you

Thanks,i was also on a residential street, cleared the wire going forward(got out and checked it out) right where I needed to back in and then hit the wire backing up,the wire went thru a tree, it was windy enough out to move the tree branches up and down moving the wire down..that's my fault??
Short answer yes you were driving, if it's not your fault whose fault is it? Wind wasn't driving was it?

Suck it up man! Take some responsibility for you actions for a change. I think I speak for the rest of the group when I say we're all a little sick and tired of your constant diatribe on this forum! The deluge of negative comments is actually quite sickining and I just find it too nauseating to even log on to this forum to see your latest rant! It's time to pull up your big boy pants and move forward!

Love u man! :-)

Went over your past replies..really apperiate your time and input but it's old news..thanks again..

Wires can go either way depending on the state, in pa state law says all wires that go over a paved road must be higher then 13'6, so here taking down wires shouldn't have got you fired because the wires were illegal if they were low enough for you to hit them..

Thanks..i agree this happened in Illinois..like fedex lube said they don't change their mind..sad thing about it is I cleared going forward but had to back out and that's when it came down??act of god??

To clear up a point, your Manager can not fire you. Safety guy can't fire you. He can only make the call Preventable or Non Preventable. Only HR can make the call.....and that's after it is sent to Legal for review. I sat on our local Safety Committee for a year and the process was explained to us by both Safety & HR. Doesn't matter if your Manager likes you or not. They have no input.

Didn't know that, the process happen so quick, was brought into the office, safety manager said I was disquafied and that was it..was told to call Mark Quarter in Harrison...is he with HR or safety??Did call HR in Illinois was told there was nothing they could do..don't want to sound negative fedex is a good company was proud to work there, best job I ever had..just was hoping for another chance but they have to cover themselves

Mark Courter is head of Maintenance out of Orlando. Hasn't been in Safety for about a year now. Sorry about your situation.

Ohhh puhhhlease! Lest you forget, we're still a non union company and these turds can fire whoever, whenever, and yes, even at the behest of a manager or dispatcher. **** on the wrong shoe and bye bye... Some folks have short memories as soon as a medium to well 20oz steak and ice cream is shoved in their face. Disgusting!

May be a blessing in disguise. If you,re for a union,im sure you can find work at one of YRC,S wonderful companies or possibly ABF.You could swing for the fence and try UPSF(probably the only one I would even consider)...GL

if it looks too tight then dont go. they can't fire you if you don't deliver it
