Yellow | abuse of company time

Just be careful out there everyone, cross yer t's and dot yer i's. Filling out a log book everyday isn't such a bad thing could be helpful in this situation. Seems in the past 24 yrs that I know of that if you do what they want it's in your favor anyways....

They're really not used for the info we put into them, at least not by Yrc, they're mainly used for their tracking ability. I know they ping your location every time you input any info, and im sure the company can ping your location whenever they want. Not really sure if they capture everywhere youve been all day or not.

Abuse of company time or MILKING THE CLOCK is out of control right now at all of the companies, Yrc, Holland ,Reddway , New Penn , been hearing it and seeing it daily !!! and not just driver's also office workers -supervisor's , etc people taking 4 smoke breaks a hour , and then checking facebook , and checking travel sites on company time too !!

Now? It's been like this ever since the pay cuts destroyed morale and will continue until at least some of our pay and benef>ts are restored. I recall seeing a CEO ON CNBC during the recession talking about business decisions he had to make then, and he said the company contemplated cutting pay, but said that would crush employee morale and probably destroy the company so they crossed that off their list.

No one can destroy/crush your morale unless you let it.

Clock milking had been going on long before the pay cuts at both yellow and roadway....
 
I waste time ALL the time.
But it's their fault.
Example.
Yesterday. I work the dock.
Started at 3 pm. Did not get any paperwork to unload city frt until 4 50.
Just sat around with many others bored out of our skulls.
That's the way they run things.
Abuse of company time?
I am being abused!
Frt is sitting there waiting for clerks to get the paperwork.

I'm not talking about pushing around. Nobody pushes me around.
It's the way they do things period. Or really the way they don't do things.
I am at the point I don't give a ::shit:: what they do. I do my best without hurting myself and go home.
Come back and do it the next day. When I cannot get in the gate I will go home and stay there. It won't hurt my feelings whatsoever.
I have been there close to 30 years. I don't get pushed around and they sure as ::shit:: don't intimidate me.
