Yellow | abuse of company time

Actually,I have much respect for the dock guys at my company.Didnt mean to offend you.I thought the poster was joking about the 2-3 bills per hour "AVERAGE"(over a period of time).
Not joking about 2-3 bills per hour. Ask if anyone who can give you an honest answer what 309, or 511's bph is. Some on here try to make you think we handle more carton floor loads than palletized now. Maybe 20 years ago. Yes there are ugly loads with long freight and such, but not that much to drag the bill count to even 5 per hour.

I resemble that remark!
We get 3-400 bills a night... End terminal. Average 4 an hour with the pencil pushing. But you know sometimes we spend an hour sitting around waiting on paperwork. Sometimes two hours. It's not my fault or any other dock worker doing this. They hang the drivers out until the trailers look like inbound breakouts! Place is just stupid.... Stupid stupid stupid. The company could make and should be making money hand over fist if they would move the frt. Seriously. It just seems to me they just want to get numbers to look good to make em look good. And they need to quit giving all the discounts.... Same with all the other companies.
We are moving it for free and actually the customers make money cause they know we cannot make service or it gets damaged.
Oh well... I am just a number but I spoke my peace for now...

The company HAD to be following these guys. Any decent city driver knows 1000 ways to screw the company out of as much time as they want. The key to it is this: BE WHERE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE. BE WHERE YOU SAY YOU ARE.

I've been followed more times than I can count, and I have yet to have management (or their rats) walk up on a customers' dock.

Are you serious? If you are you have more problems that I imagined. I have not heard customers complain that freight was lost and that late when delivered by YRC.

I could have went on but my dinner was ready❗️We have customers and other carriers come in daily to intercept freight we can't or won't deliver‼️But hey the people running the place think they are the greatest

3-400 bills a night???? Our inbound is 1050-1100 outbound 1100-1200. We probably have 300 bills in storage waiting on appts at any given time

3-400 bills a night???? Our inbound is 1050-1100 outbound 1100-1200. We probably have 300 bills in storage waiting on appts at any given time
We only have 50 doors... Endline terminal. But we still cannot get it done in eight hours. Most times we go in Monday and move Friday frt.
Our osd looks like a dump also. Frt sitting for days. No one cares. The only time they do is when a customer wants their product or the numbers are down.
Ya... 400 for us is alot. We are not a break bulk.
If we had 1200 bills... Which would be impossible... No trlrs.... The place would implode.
Only 12 work the dock.

Without pay. Penalty was loss of time. One guy was going to the gym on his lunch another guy was taking a 45 min break at Subway an hour after punching in. The six that weren't let go fess up that they were screwing around. They gave them warning letters.

Maybe time to "empower" the dock and yard people, and straighten that place out?
