Yellow | Charlotte OTR?

as long as the banks get the interest payment and there is enough left for bonus' the pig will stay alive with more cuts if they ask for it . thats including crying pour mouth and needed the teamster to pay at least part of the insurance . bend over its coming

James Hines is the one that called me. He is the terminal manager in Charlotte.

I've never worked a union job nor worked for a freight company, so I don't know much about any of it. That's why I'm here trying to gain as much info before I speak to Mr Hines again tomorrow. It's called due diligence.

So unless you have something useful to contribute then why not move on instead of being a jackass.
I don't have to "move on" troll.....James Hines is not the terminal manager at Charlotte...he is the linehaul manager...if you weren't trolling you would not have acted like you didn't know that... we all here on the board have seen your kind before.

My wife was diagnosed with cancer shortly after starting(didn't even finish training) and we moved out of state to be closer to family to help care for her
Sorry to hear of it and I wish you the best. I commend you for wanting to go union and knowing what they used to offer. Unfortunately those days are gone and a non-union job my fit you better. Pensions are shaky right now and Central States in particular is taking on water. Working under union rules is nice because you do have a contract and most everyone knows what to expect. However, you may make out better non-union or in a union job at something like a chemical company or box company, don't rule them out. OTR you will probably make out better non-union because they do pay more per mile but don't have the pension contributions, which I don't think you'll benefit enough from anyway. I see others have offered some guidance so good luck and please do keep us posted.

Hey dumbass I didn't know that, when I'm told I will be interviewing with the manager and his name is James Hines, my understanding was that he's the term manager. How the F would I know otherwise.

Thank you ABFer, what you said makes perfect sense. I applied to Saia today. I will check on OD too.

Yeah...here it comes...the cussing part...trolls always get upset and have to cuss you.

Because they have gone after everything else sofar. Pay, pension, vacation, breaks, work rules all were targeted, guarantee insurance is next on their to-do list

well, if they go after insurance, I doubt ill stay, too many other places where I can make close to the same money with better equipment and hometime. but I think the ins is the one thing they want to keep, its the last selling point to a new hire.

It's very complicated but you get nothing for the 25% YRC pays. The 25% is applied to monies owed from the past with no benefit moving forward.
That's not totally true.I pulled the plug last July and my print out of benefits showed the 18 months they did not pay as zero. The three years after showed a benefit that ranged from $26 - $33 per year. I am not in Central States.

you are right hood its central states that had the biggest trouble when it comes to pension . there are a few that are still making out ok
but they are talking about this guy in charlotte and that is central states and it wont add up to much
i have seen in a few locals they are saying they are not even getting credit for the time worked for those not payed years

We have one guy who is in the Western Fund but working in the CSPF area tell us he had over $60,000 in his 401k just from the 25% deposited in his name. All we have is more cuts on the way‼️For a group that came together to form a union there sure are a lot of different pension plans:wtflol:
