CVSA Inspection--looks bogus

Does anyone have any info on how to challenge the severity weights and methodologies used by the CSA? Other then a congressperson?

I had told you in your previous posting, go to the PSP website, and if I am not mistaken even the copy of the PSP you have right now (for the address) , there is a process in which YOU MUST follow.

YOU HAVE TO do it, not us, not Congressperson, NOT your Senator...

The instructions are plainly written in English.

Just do not be surprised that the law agency that wrote you up, strikes down your challenge.

I'm not talking about challenging the violations, I'm talking about challenging the way these things are scored, such as saying that a log book being a few hours behind is nearly as unsafe as having the trailer lights out. Also, the simple fact that some of the CSA requirements require drivers to do the impossible, such as be able to crane their heads 70 feet around a curve to see if the stop lamps are out. The "severity weights and methodologies" are what's wrong.

Best I can say is Join the OOIDA as they are trying to get changes made. Alone, you have no chance. As a growing group such as the OOIDA, we have a louder voice.

No lawyer is really going to be able to help you, no congressperson, nor senator. Especially since you' be the only one griping about it, they need numbers as well to proceed, and unless YOU are willing to do it for them, say good-bye to the thought.
