Look out OD ..... We are coming for you. 90.3 operation ratio. It just keeps getting better.

So, not to rain on the parade but numbers don't lie. The OR is misleading. Shipments, tonnage, and revenue are down. With diluted earnings. Sounds a little suspicious. Just sayin

Lol

Prices are up, among other favorable conditions, and it's working out great.

I'm just hoping we can gain some market share to offset the raise we were just given. That was a pretty significant raise and will affect the 3rd quarter Operation Ratio to some degree.

Id be interested to hear that webcast. To make a prediction like that in an historically slow quarter is, well, bold. You folks are clearly doing something right. Keep it up.

I don't want to be condescending so I won't be. The OR is not misleading. You can spin many things but not that. It's simple math. More with less is a simple way of putting it. Not everything is a conspiracy to hide something. I would try and explain it to you but you are so intent on running this company down it would be pointless. When you can understand that Rick and his leadership team are the best at what they do then perhaps you can understand he knows what he is doing. There comes a time in everyone's life when it's time to move on. If this company were to fire me tomorrow I would wish them the best and move on. You cut us then you applaud us. Which leads me to question your sincerity.

Fellas, just don't look at the world trough rose colored glasses. Rick is a bonafide numbers genius. That's where he started with Saia in the first place. His main objective is to make the numbers and make them look good to investors. With investors you can build upon the solid foundation that you have all created. I don't have an axe to grind. Frankly, life is too short. It didn't work out for me, but that isn't to say it's a bad company. Could they improve? Certainly. But, they are an overall good company to work for. Just didn't work out for my location. Who is to say that things wouldn't be different somewhere else? Incidentally, the TM that I had trouble with has been terminated by Saia. That's a tough break, but kinda lends some merit to a lot of my statements/arguments. I know Rick on a personal level. We speak on occasion. He's a great guy, and has a lot of great ideas. But Saia is a large, multi headed company, and it is just impossible to cover 100% of your bases 100% of the time. Saia helped me get to where I am today, and I will never forget it. I am in a good place now, so all is well that ends well. Nose to the grindstone, and sweat equity generally leads to success. Best wishes fellow truckers, and keep the wiggle wagons between the lines.

Big Buck - stop and smell the roses.. these are the best of times in the business. Be happy SAIA is doing great. It is all about the bottom line and theirs is very good.

Get your boots on, this :shhit: getting deep !

Another internet tough guy huh?
Much of it you bring on yourself. You imply that we are looking through rose colored glasses. In the big picture I would say that it shouldn't be what an individual can find fault with or disparage. It should be what they can love, and value and appreciate. I once read a quote somewhere that said. "The pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; the optimist, the opportunity in every difficulty." It's all in our attitude I suppose.
