ABF | Petition Drive

I hope everyone out there has had a chance to sign a petition to get the Teamsters United slate on the ballot. There's a lot of weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth over the last contract,.......all of which means nothing. Signing a petition for an opposition slate is the most meaningful thing we can do. If for no other reason than to wake Hoffa and crew out of their stupor with the realization that they've finally roused the membership into action with their........"leadership"........and negotiation skills destroying the NMFA and giving away money, pension, security and jurisdictional rights with the ABF, YRC, UPS, and UPS Freight contracts,.........during the WORST DRIVER SHORTAGE anyone's ever seen, historically. They've GOT to go! Find a petition, gentlemen, and get it in before the end of August. We need 50,000 vadid signatures,..........Let's get 500,000! That ought to get the current IBT........"leadership's".....attention.

Anyone on here from Car-042? If a guy was to come down to Carlisle with petitions, say in about a week or two, is there specific shift changes where there's a lot of guys going in and out the gate? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have performed my civic duties on the matter. If you're at 042 around 2300 or so the place is swarming with UE's from the region. Road drivers are constantly coming through but I can't tell you if one time is hotter for them than any other nor can I tell you when dock shift changes out so lets hope that foxman042 or someone else chimes in for you.

Between 0600 and 0900 is a good time also. Could you have someone drop off some because I would love to sign it.

Thank you, Brother ebark. We had several guys out in Carlisle yesterday. I hope you saw them and were able to sign one. If not, you can pull up your own petition at Teamsters United. org. I f you do that, and want to make sure the petition gets to where it's supposed to go, ....pm me and I'll provide you with an address where you can send it. It doesn't matter if there's only one name on it,..........or 15,...all members count. Time is getting short, though,....... Deadline is by the end of the month the petitions should be sitting on the election supervisor's desk,........so if you want to have your voice heard, you've got about 10 days. And,......THANKS to all the Brothers and Sisters who signed the petitions at ABF and YRC yesterday,......... nice thick wad of paper to be mailed to the election supervisor....Hoffa Must Go 2016! ....,.Time to put dedicated and committed Teamsters in office, instead of people who are barely going through the motions,......and ...."leadership "........who talks the talk,.....but certainly doesn't WALK THE WALK....... I'm typing this sitting here in my Guatemalan company-mandated uniform remembering all those robo-calls last month about " Bringing Jobs Back To America"..............Maybe Mr. Hoffa is satisfied with just this hemisphere, or just South America,.............I'm not....
