Well we got 2 of the new little Kenworths in a few weeks ago. The shop PM'd the first one and it has sat there for 4 weeks waiting for the plate and IFTA stickers. Everything came in so they went out and put it on and placed the tractor in service. Guess what.....the damn thing won't start. Some sort of electrical problem. So now they have to tow a tractor that has never left the yard to the dealer for repairs. Makes you feel confident in our new equipment!

Yep. We just got a new KW 2 weeks ago. It just came out of the shop (KW dealer) for the 3rd time. Massive electrical issues. I swear there is zero QC done after these things come off the line. Any KW from R135xxx is a total pile of ::shit::. I have been seeing many more new Peterbilts and Freightliners. Maybe Harrison is also finally getting sick of this crap too.

don't forget KW and Peterbilts are made by the same company. I would bet they share a lot of parts

The Peterbuilts are no better...we got 3 road units in several months ago, all signature trucks, and all three have spent as much time at the dealership as they have on the road...and all have the same electrical problems!!

And yet we keep ordering them??? I see UPS, Dayton Freight, and Estes are buying a bunch of the 680's as well

I just got a new T680, has been great, R170xx My old Freightliner was great too, R160xx.

The only issue I had was the Cab Card was licensed for 72,000 and 64,800 in the state it would run in but a quick call to HRO fixed that up in 5 minutes.

roog

Didn't think of that. So Harrison once again has their heads up their asses. And I thought they might be responding to an issue for a change. I'm not sure what made me think that. We now return you to your regularly scheduled stupidity.

Every one of ours came in with dead batteries that would not charge and had to be replaced before they put them in service. Not having an air ride or air dump is a bad idea. The automatic is nice in traffic. Air is ice cold. The delay is the radio coming on after starting is annoying. Lack of storage. Not sure why they were specked without a net storage on rear cab wall like the Volvo's have.

Another Brand New KW coming to us made it 20 miles on the way to us.... It broke down.... Sure glad this company is spending "OUR" money the right way........

Don't blame FedEx for PACCAR's quality control problems. Were they supposed to psychically predict that the new equipment would be delivered with electrical problems? Pull your head out of your exhaust pipe. EVERY truck manufacturer is having problems right now because of the heaping piles of government regulations that keep coming in. They're trying to lighten the trucks where they can to reduce the negative impact of all the government mandated junk hanging off the trucks now, and unfortunately electrical problems tend to result when wiring harnesses are being weighed and measured down to the last micron.

If you want to blame someone for the new trucks, blame the White House or the EPA. Unless you'd rather drive 15 year old rusted out junk? If so, I think I know a few Teamsters that'll tell you how much fun that is.

That's no lie flyer, we can thank all the tree huggers out there for most of the problems with trucks today. More sensors computers etc etc than you can shake a stick at. Heck even my air ride now has an electric switch that tells an air valve what to do instead of the old school way.But at least it will tell me if my headlight is out on the display.some is nice but way to much info for me."nuff said everybody stay safe

Hey Flyer. Quit badmouthing my assigned daily flying junkyard.

Ya wanna know what I wanna know? WTF do they insist on putting cloth seats in trucks?? Food stains, chew stains, jizz stains, sweaty backs, balls and who knows what else has been in contact with this cloth. Let's face it, not all drivers are clean and meticulous like myself and this friggen grosses me out. I swear the city guy I share the truck with drives with his work gloves. Every night I come in and clean the steering wheel with bleach and the rag is black when I'm done

I wish they would go back to hard plastic steering wheels. cleaning stuff dissolves the present ones to a sponge the absorbs everything to a point it can no longer be cleaned.
