ABF | Change for Abf

Does anyone know if there is a change of operation coming in October of 2015
I don't know about the date but I have heard of changes in the road operation. Have you heard something? I heard that most road work will be converted to meet and greets and an increase in UE's.

From my understanding the change is similar to the changes out west and central region. Its just suppose to be the east coast portion of going to meet and turns and ue.

Because of the density of the population & the city's being close to each other haven't they been doing mainly meet & greet for years? Especially along the I-95 corridor? I think some barns bid only once a year/ Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks. von.

. Im out of a terminal close to KC. The changes there were mostly UE runs and only for HV freight in a 200 mile or so radius. I'm pretty sure you're right about the I 95 Corredor. They already have a lot of UE drivers and meet and turns. They are looking at doing more meet and turns break to break towards the center of the country put UE drivers in the 200 or so mile EOL terminals. Any EOL terminal within about 300 miles of a break bulk got road drivers transfered in and turn the break bulk. Hope some of this made sense. I tried. Just basing this off of the western COO. KC actually added road drivers by the way. No layoffs

How would that effect extra board drivers? Im just assuming that would cut out a lot of runs for them by increasing UE runs especially terms like Greensboro with big road board and they are already slow from what I hear.

If the extra board runs a lot of turns it will effect it a bit im sure. So far they haven't really abused the UE thing to bad. Its been a year on the change in KC. That said they got a lot of long runs there too so that might be why that terminal hasn't seen to much damage from this

Talked with a driver from 064 and he said they may break up Dayton and put drivers in indy Columbus and Cincinnati. Just a rumor.
