Anyone here work out of the Columbus, Ohio terminal? I have an interview tomorrow for a part time dock position. I have a CDL with about 8 months driving experience. I have my doubles/triples and tanker endorsements and will be getting my HazMat soon. I would love to get on full time, and I'm wondering if anyone knows about how long it would take for a part timer to successfully bid on a full time job. Thanks in advance.

If you are talking UPS FREIGHT and are the only dock w/cdl or the most senior dock w/cdl then you are first in line for any city driving opening. You will still have to pass UPSF drive around and driver probationary period. Any accidents during probation and you are done. Over the road required 1 year UPSF driving under your belt for new drivers with less than a year experience per UPS safety when I came aboard this way 7 years ago....GL.

Of course every other company is the same way. Pretty common practice for any major trucking company.
