Fellow Teamsters, Post here if your want. I am willing to get your letters to Washington D.C.. Make the letters short and sweet. Something like this---- I was making $, then who you worked for------, How many years you have total, I am now making $. Then the percentage of your total cut.

I will post mine, when I receive it, maybe today. My cuts are huge as I am a 100% ORPHAN.

Then send same to your Congressman and Senators in your home state and tell them with this cut you are no longer a contributing member of the economy. Tell your personal story of how this cut affects you and your family. God Bless you all in this devastating blow to your finances. ESP

If you think this is to no avail, it certainly will do no harm. Are we going to stand together or not?

When the ex-chairman of the Federal Reserve said Wall Street Executives should have been put in jail over the financial crisis of 2008, I bet the fund mangers of this large retirement fund made poor, and probably unethical, possibly illegal investment decisions and money moves. We should see about getting organized to have an audit of not only the books, but of the decisions that were made that left the $12 billion dollar crater in the fund. It would make a great American Greed episode for CNBC!
Actually it would be a waste of time and money. The MEPRA bill also included immunity from civil action for all involved.

Ok, I got my letter. I would like to keep this to the topic of CSPF cuts response only, Thanks. Also keep it clean and basic info.

Just to say....your cut is 52 %. 1250 is half , so 1209 is less than that, you get to keep 48%.

Worked at Carolina/ABF 27.439 years. Retired 2005 at age 57. $2662.35 per month. New amount $1331.18. 50% cut.

I retired in 96 @ age 55 with 27 years in CS and 5 years in 710 (Chicago). I will be 76 and 3 months on July I/16. My pension is being cut 37.5% to $1,408.25 while my partial pension from 710 is unaffected as of now.

Tier 2 maximum cut is 50% if you got at least 20 years in. Looks like CS is going for the max. Be interesting to find out when they post on Treasury website how they arrived at these numbers.

I am drawing a partial pension from CSPF of $571.95. for 6.75 years of service. It will be reduced to $265.44 or 53.59%

I also draw a pension from Western Teamsters for 28 years of service. I'm not being affected as badly as most of you are.

I had signed my retirement papers to retire at the end of this month. Was going to get $3380 per month now I have been cut to $2017. That's with 39.5 years between rdwy and yrc. 40% lost. Unbelievable

Received my letter today also. $2990.10 reduced to $1481.34. Reduction of 49 and 1/2 %. 5 years with Interstate Motor Freight. 25 years paid with Roadway/YRC.

Side note: ESP I, like you saw this coming and have been preparing for it. It is still a punch in the gut and I feel violated. The lack of detail in the letter of the specifics of how the numbers were arrived at is disturbing. There is a phone number and e-mail address for Central States that can hopefully be used to get specific details on how the numbers were arrived at that pertain to my case. I believe that everyone should demand the same information. For example was it because the 2% multiplier rate no longer applies? Is it because YRC is in the rehabilitation schedule? Was it because I worked for 5 years with an Orphan company? Or was it because the law put me in a category that said they could take up to 50% and they did? Or was it a combination of these or others? I believe that I have a right to know and I am going to find out exactly what they did. It may not change anything in the end, but I still would like to know how they justify the numbers. Thank you for your efforts. Keep the faith!

When the Treasury Dept. post the application on their website in the next 30 days, CS will have to disclose how they arrived at their estimates. Stay tuned.

Soon the only good job left will be a security guard job guarding the Teamster halls and working the metal detector at the front door, protecting union officers from a mass shooting.

Credited 21 years; 11.75 with Preston. 10 with Yellow Freight. Laid off, 2008/ resigned 2009. Classified Vested/Active (not Terminated as many believed)

Was to be 2455.10 in May 2019. Now will be 1250.01. Letter also points out that it's possible to drop to the PG of 759 if the Fund can't be saved. I'm not retired. Also says I can go back to a Teamster Company and add to mine before I retire. (But won't)

Good Golly miss Molly, hey dad, you and I can combine our pensions and make one whole. Better than you thought. God Bless!

I think we're all getting what we deserve for not going back and picking up our brothers that was only getting 3or4 hundred dollar retirements Now you all can live on the same thing

We're slightly less than where we would be had the IRS not forced unsustainable higher payouts in about 94. Used to be 1500 for 25 years didn't it?
