I worked for yellow out of the ridge. Then went to Yrc at the heights. Always wanted to go back to the ridge, it's close to my house. I work for ups now, we were told as of next week, teams are being relocated to the Chicago ridge facility until January. They rented the land from someone, and now if you drive by, you will see all the ups trailers being moved over there. We don't have enough room at hodgekins facility during the peak season, last year they rented wonder breads lot for the peak season. So who did we rent this from???? Yrc or Chicago ridge????

that is interesting who owns anyone know!!

Happen to go by the Ridge today and if I had to guess there were about 200 trailers dropped . Mostly rail boxes and UPS pups . Could be they want to use the dock reason being is why else would they use a spotters horse if they only intended to use for a drop pad ? This could be a signal that as long as the Ridge mayor backed down for UPS could be the rebirth of CGB after the lease is up with UPS . Just a thought . Stranger things than this has happen .

Is that one of those set-ups where Estes bought many YRC terminals. Estes moved in some, YRC moved in some and others were leased. WHO KNOWS WITH THOSE CROOKS

Relax, it's only being used during peak for extra space. Only storage of trailers, they will not be using the docks. I'm sure they pay YRC for the use of their facility. After peak they will clear everything out.

The Ridge Sox hold the lease on it.

Maybe station a guy there, or just have their feeder drivers use it to switch sets around.
