Yellow | Ups is going to the ridge!!!!!

I don't know about you guys, but it will actually be nice to look over and see something happening when you drive by. It is always depressing to look over and see that big barn sitting there empty. Even if it is UPS.

I worked for yellow out of the ridge. Then went to Yrc at the heights. Always wanted to go back to the ridge, it's close to my house. I work for ups now, we were told as of next week, teams are being relocated to the Chicago ridge facility until January. They rented the land from someone, and now if you drive by, you will see all the ups trailers being moved over there. We don't have enough room at hodgekins facility during the peak season, last year they rented wonder breads lot for the peak season. So who did we rent this from???? Yrc or Chicago ridge????
Tell me were you a city or a line hall driver ?

I'm assuming UPS is renting it from YRCW. From what I understand that land is contaminated from all the years yellow was there that's why it hasn't been sold. Before there can be a title transfer the land needs to be cleaned up and that cost I was told is astronomical which is why Walmart,Lowes, and others have never bought the facility. Just another great YRCW management decision. Now they have paid millions in property taxes and fines since they have moved. Well should say the employee has paid.

How many Threads do we need about UPS staging trailers at the "Ridge" for Peak ?? Just sayin.
When you say peak. Did you mean the peak in the roof ???? I mean if you think we need a new thread about the new roof, I would be happy to start one .... Or maybe everyone has it wrong and UPS is just using the place to fix the roofs in their trailers for the x- mas rush???

yellow has contaminated everything it has ever come in contact with

I ran out of Richfield. Triples, rail yards, ect. CGB was my second home. At the Bridgeview Inn. I would open up the bottom left dresser. Write date every time I was there in that room. Silly thing to do, I know. I was at 19 times in one room. CGB treated me very well. Do a T card and say open for anything. Chuck the dispatcher would call me right on 8 hours off. Almost never went home. Stevens Point turn. St. Paul, Nashville. St. Louis. KC. Miss that place.
