And couldn't even bother saying hello to drivers. Had a special meeting with all inbound and outbound dock employees in the morning, hung around in a meeting with his crew and our bosses, after that, and left sometime after 10am. What's the matter Mike? Don't like the fact fact we voted YES? You know, there are guys who voted NO in the mix. A simple hello, don't need a big meeting. Just maybe introduce yourself. Nah, that would be courteous and professional. And we know who we work for, dont we? Keep snubbing us, like with passing over us with the GDP raise. That's OK, I take satisfaction knowing you aren't getting rid of me or anybody else on a whim. Just another example of what's wrong with this corporation and it's approach to its people...

Well I'm not talking to anyone unless they talk to me first. Then I'm going home AND taking my ball with me.

You aren't a CEO who's been appointed to be a uniter of a company with a morale problem. When he makes a point to ignore an entire group of employees, I suspect people begin to feel like the status quo is still in place. If he keeps that up, he may come down with a case of unionitis like his predecessor.

I'm surprised that no one "claimed" that He couldn't shake a few hands, due to risk of ULP charges. Certainly, he could (and should) have, even if only on a limited basis. Perhaps it seemed to be of little or no value.

If FedEx wants to say in it's court cases that the dockworkers should be part of the bargaining unit then he should have had meetings with the city/road drivers. This visually proves you all are not part of the same unit in their eyes.

I have meet and briefly spoke to Mike , he is a impressive man. It has not been a easy 40 years at FedEx and he has paid his dues. It was a honor to shake his hand. I have been with the company for only 20 years and wish that I would of come in at a earlier age like him to help make us what we are today. This man is a honorable individual and I would like to quote him here , he says , "The 3 most important things to me are my faith , my family and FedEx." I hope I got this right Sir. Mike was the son of a trash collector and worked hard with his father after school , he was not born with a golden spoon in his mouth. He worked hard for us and more than anything deserves respect. If you can't say something decent then please just refrain out of respect for the man.

Thank you / SMOKESTACK

Top shelf shout there Smoke. Good to hear. He does have an extremely solid reputation, for sure.

Perhaps some of us take things too personal, when it's not. I know I have been guilty of that, once or twice...

That's quite an opinion to hold of someone whom, per your own admission, you've only met briefly. I haven't had the opportunity since he hasn't come to my center.

Having meet and briefly having the opportunity to speak to Mike does not mean that I have not researched his involvement with FedEx nor did I not pay attention to every word this important man said in our meeting.

would like to see him come to BTE. He seems to be a good man. since they got rid of the bad apple and he has taken over. I have seen some good changes. Pretty happy I hung around thru the crappy years and they are going back to the better days. Not like when i 1st hired on but yes better.

We have a long, long, way to go before we get back to the better days!!!

He was at our terminal several months ago. Same thing. Didn't say a word to much of the crew, blew in, blew out. Not impressed in the least.
