Funny how he didn't mention what terminal he runs out of. Would love to know so we could teach you the IBT constitution/bylaws in the parking lot across the street.

Talked to the driver myself about fellow teamster bitchin bout him. He laughed he doesn't have to work dock Mon thru Thurs just Fri because he pulls Canadian freight back to LE. If it wasn't for Toledo city filing on it for out of classification he would be doing it 5 days. Remember we get paid all time spent.

That's a nice story except Toledo city 1st start time was 4 am. When I worked TO Velocity, the LE driver was almost always gone before 4 am.

Just on Fridays he would be there late don't know first hand myself just seen him work dock before out there. I'm not worrying about another mans paycheck.

Friday night/Saturday morning Velocity is later. However Tol City doesn't work on Sat morning. So that dog (Tol filed a grievance) still don't hunt.

That's why he only works dock on Fri night. TO claimed it was there work for where fright originates from. The same way DE city guys works Canadian freight destined for other term.

I worked that bid for 6 months and never seen him work the dock one time. Not even on Friday. All the guys resented him for being lazy.
 
Slightly unrelated, but is Detroit the only Holland gateway terminal? I know it has been ever since the TNT days, at least, but I've never heard of any others. I know Speedy is hiring teams to run southern US now, but I assume it's for a new customer. I also know they service New Penn, though I don't know what terminals are gateways there.

Minneapolis, Chicago, Toledo, Detroit, Buffalo are Holland Gateways. I know New Penn has a Buffalo terminal and that is probably one of the gateways for them.
 
OK if thats your truth then so be it. Would you turn him into management or just worry bout your own job?

Detroit Toledo and Buffalo are terminals speedy runs into.
