Saw my first FXF RMD set. RMD's aren't common by any means (SLH, Manitoulin and Rosenau are the only others who occasionally use them) so it was a pretty neat experience as we passed on the road. I would've grabbed a picture, but it was in Lethbridge, Alberta during afternoon traffic so I was too busy stick jockeying.

D&R does turnpike doubles, of the twin 53' variety, but I don't haul them since the TCH through the Rockies between Banff and Kamloops isn't capable of allowing them. Even FXF uses vans through there.

How many have seen (or even hauled) an RMD set? And does anyone know if FedEx still does turnpike doubles in Florida?

turnpike doubles in FL is a yes

I think the Dakotas still do RMDs, I know North Dakota has bid runs out of Fargo that do at least. Denver too.

I've only ever seen one picture of the FedEx turnpike doubles in Florida, which is why I asked. The only other pictures I've seen were back when Watkins first started running them, pre-FedEx.
