Estes | Joliet terminal plan currently on hold

Was at 028 last night and what a disaster. It needs to be about 4x bigger. Another driver said amazon freight is clogging it up worse this week.

I was wondering when Estes built the last new terminal? The best looking one i have been to was Denver Co. but it looks like a old Roadway terminal. Just curious thanks! Merry Christmas to all.

Heard from a reliable source that the Joliet terminal is on hold until further notice.

Apparently there are some zoning conflicts so 028 will remain the mess that it is.

Maybe they're waiting on Holland to default so we can take their terminal across the street.

Please, enlighten us to the Holland comment!!

Estes owns a number of Holland terminals and leases it back to them at exorbitant rates.

One of the terminals Estes owns is the Holland right behind the McCook terminal.

So I'm guessing, since you know they are exorbitant rates you can give a ballpark figure as to what the rates are.

Also did you know Holland will operate at a very low 90 year ending 2015 ? That is after paying those exorbitant rates.

It wouldn't necessarily need to be 4 times bigger if they get those outside contractors trailers out of there, and have us run the freight instead of them, and making us sit at home sniffing our a_ _ waiting on a call. That goes on at a lot of other yards like Indy too. Contractor trailers strewn all over the place where you cant get to your trailers because everything's in the way. Then you have to find a clearing to pull them out and hook up. Seems like they prefer to keep the contractors busy instead of us which makes no sense. If "you know who" has been working there 40 years, you would think he'd know how to run the business by now. This company makes me :9529:

Are you Estes director of property ? You seem to think you know about how much those leases are worth.

I know for a fact that Estes kicked out Holland from their Grand Rapids terminal and are moving in there, also I know that Minneapolis operations were planning on kicking out Holland from their Minneapolis terminal, but decided to allow Holland to stay there because Holland agreed to a doubled rent payment.

Those are just two of who knows how many.

Holland built a new bigger Grand Rapids terminal. Estes didnt kick anyone out but you can have the old pos terminal.

It's no supervision of those useless 3rd shift spotters. There mad one of the spotters only gets to do pulls. So they're all mad and not doing squat. That's what the issue is.
