Keep in mind that capitalism of today isn't being used in a "virtuous" manner.... Its been corrupted and it has bred nothing but unbridled greed...... Maybe you should reread my post again, you obviously missed the point..

You obviously don't know the difference between "conversation" and "lecturing"...

I'm glad you think I'm "college professor " level....

    the bad apple concept
there are a few bad apples in every thing
the bad apples get all the attention

according to the US Census there are 27.9 million small businesses in the USA with an additional 18,500 firms with 500 or more employees
there are some that do bad, but for the most part, most are out just trying to make a living, honestly and fairly

People are naturally corrupt and greedy as their nature.
Thats why religion came a long as an attempt to civilize them a bit.

Capitalism is just another opportunity for greed.
Those with the power wish to further consolidate that power and have the rules made to benefit them and eliminate the competition.

The system in not necessarily a bad one its just needs constant watching over the wolves.
The wolves manage to convince the others that whats good for the wolves is good for them.
They fund the elections and write the rules that the legislators vote on.

    if you believe that
they you should understand why socialism/communism can and will never work

why should I work if someone else will and I can enjoy the fruits of their labors?
worked so well they almost starved to death at Plymouth Colony and currently, they are starving to death in Venezuela

I don't know if those are your words but they convey exactly how our system works these days, I'm pretty sure that is not what our founders envisioned.
Our capitalistic system has been bastardized by the wealthy elites, powerful self serving politicians and the insatiable greed of Corporate America.
There is hope.............but it won't be the current administration that makes the necessary changes.

    yes
but capitalism has proven to be the most beneficial to humans than all other systems
    that is undeniable
    advances happen under capitalism
stagnation happens under other forms (unless you get a great network of spies like the Soviets did to steal everything under the sun)

You're taking advice from a guy who thinks he deserves all the free stuff he can get his hands on. "Cooperate America owes him."

I'm not taking advice from anyone, he just described what is wrong about what our system has become and nowhere in that statement did he talk about free stuff.

We haven't had Capitalism since about 1900. Regulations and oversight aren't capitalism. Freedom is capitalism.

In a society of over 300 million people, you can not have freedom from rules and regulations..... Besides, freedom isn't capitalism, capitalism is an economic system that eventually breeds corruption through greed for more at any cost.... It then implodes....we're in that process now.....

So far, all forms and types of governance and economic systems has eventually failed......including this one...seems were in the failing phase currently..... And with the level of political polarization, it doesn't look promising for a solution...... It's going to get worse before it gets better, in my opinion, of course..

How much more could we advance society to all of our benefit, if Corporations through their "capitalism" and greed didn't hoard trillions in off shore havens...and just sit on all that money..... Our nations economy is stagnating... Look at wages compared to 35 years ago and then compare that to Corporate wealth in that same period.....

To discuss capitalism, (freedom), one must dip into our personal Beliefs. Our religion is our beliefs, what we value. So too is our politics. They cannot be separated. We live our values everywhere, be it at home, work, or in public. We don't leave our values outside when we vote or worship.

Anyone who believes Man is inherently corrupt doesn't believe in the God of the Scriptures. God made us in His Likeness, and allowed us Freedom to Choose Him or Reject Him. SATAN is who corrupted Man, if you read Genesis. Marx used those Satanic Jealousies to make Government god, and put laws in place so Government becomes the Decider, the Provider, and the Worshipped. All that is Satanic.

God wouldn't put a thought of telling others how Their Possessions could be better put to use for other Men, that's Satanic thought, wanting to Control. God would lead us to find those thoughts in our hearts and minds to ourselves. If God The Father wishes us to be in His Love, He wouldn't have designed us with an internal fallback design of Greed. He said He is 'I AM. Repeat that I Am as Believers, and we set our course. We become what we believe, and I Am Free/ I Am Saved. Thats why The Founders set us up in the desire to be a Christian Nation. To be Free- to be Loving, and Charitable. Marx went the opposite, and made Socialism/Communism/Government god. History proves- Marxism Always fails.....

Our tax rate is too high
the politicians in their greed want too much from the labor of others to buy political favors and keep themselves in office

Our economy would be soaring if we had a competitive tax rate
Our wages would not be stagnant or less than 35 years ago if the politician did not flood the market with labor from abroad supply and demand too much labor, wages go down to little labor wages go up
Furthermore, some of Americas largest corporations are crony capitalists, they get a seat at the govt table throw up huge barriers to entry blocking others from entering the market place- that is not capitalism

And we're not talking about kids on the family farm
