I heard 2 people left. One guy was promoted and another guy transferred as well a couple months ago. Bad timing for sure.

Hearing what I do from my friends who work there I suspect that they all have the same issues. New Penn used to be one of the best freight companies in the country, if not THE best. In terms of service and operations, that is. I also know that they had a high rate of heart disease amongst their workers, I don't consider that to be so good. They had a business model that worked well and they were very profitable paying the top wages and benefits in the industry. Along came YRC with their decades old record of being able to screw up a wet dream and they had to meddle with it. At this point the workers seem to have all given up hope, lost morale and just can't wait 'til it's their turn to get out of there. Those who knew how that company did what they did are almost all gone, if they're not completely gone and YRC will never figure out how New Penn did it.

old days are gone many years ago. i started in early 80,s ,left last year. Started to get really unacceptable to work there around 2013. before that you still had enough old school people to get it done. Now its totally over.

I don't think I was here in the real glory days......but the thing that I saw change the whole place was the use of 53's.
That slowed down the whole operation.....
    load bars.....thinking.......slow.
Then they have found about 20 other ways to slow it all down to sloth speed.

Now we use a time card.....a fingerprint machine.....and a handheld computer with 2 separate places on it just to get started....

Ross Perot spoke of a large sucking sound........all this stuff sucks cash every muinute for thousands of guys doing it.
Like a plan or something.....even if ya wanted to speed it up like some guys do....they find something else to slow it down.

funny thing happened last Friday. apparently the new dispatcher Anthony, who acts like a stubborn, high-strung /coke head with the way he operates, walked out on the job after a dust up with the new TM. these 2 morons are both new to the company, neither have a clue however the TM is the lesser of 2 evils i think. anyway, i saw this jagoff grab his coat and walk out. ...what's amazing is one of the office clerks said he was called to return or be fired by Todd or someone else in upper management. WTF lol, i was told management does this when it comes to disciplining their own. give them a chance but also written up with an understanding that next time it won't be tolerated. dispatch in 07 is a total fest...waiting for someone to lose it in there soon
