Anyone else noticing that the 12v outlet on the older freightliner are starting to have a bad connection. Sometimes have to twist the plug to get a good connection, some won't stay on at all. Has anyone come up with a solution. I was thinking of bringing some emery cloth to work to clean it up? Any suggestions or solutions?

A few ideas: 1.) Use the USB port on the front of the shift monitor - it works great to charge phones AND threre's one in EVERY truck 2.) Use the powerpoints in the back of the CB shelf - if you have to charge a phone , wire the negative and the positive of an old cord to the black and red and , BINGO , you're in business

You can buy a cord that clamps to the red and black posts with an outlet attached. They sell them at radio shack. I keep one in case the plugs don't work. But yeah, the USB ports also work good.
