FedEx Freight | 13%

75000 is low at our place, no wonder your complaining. Get to work. If you dont make more than that you need to work weekends. I cant believe someone is making that low unless you just started!

You willing to gamble your job on that ? I am not. This Friday my vote will be no.
Go on and hold yourself and everybody back. You have every right to. Something to be proud of. Give it all to Fred. He must be going broke. Your fellow drivers don't need anything better for their work. Only Mr. Smith does. You make our trade no better than a dishwashers job. Thanks. Fred needs MORE.

It does not matter who you welcome to participate. The truth is the unions support the dems and that won't change. Obama is destroying our country along with thousands of other politicians, all supported by union. I see it every election year politicians support laws that take our jobs and the unions still come out in full support of these libtards. Wake up you greedy bunch of people.WAKE UP!!
Look and see who the Teamsters support. Their like any business, they support all three parties. They have their lobbyists just like everyone else.

Most (for now..till the slow season) city drivers get their 40 hours. If they do get OT the red shirts make sure to find a day to get them done early to cancel any OT they would have seen in their check. Same with weekend work.

Top pay at 40 hours a week even including all the weeks of personal and Vacation included in figure does not come close to 75K.

Bump. Bump.

Bump it all you want. Fed X strong right? haha

The anti guys all have hidden agendas here at NHS. One assaulted a shop steward so is no longer eligible to EVER join a union. One just got his CDL through the apprentice program last month. He knows everything there is to be known about trailer truckin! One listens to entirely too much radical right wing radio. One kisses enough asses that chap stick is a tax write off. One guy is an instructor and was eliminated from the eligible voter list. Several are illegally collecting teamsters pensions after they dishonestly filed the paperwork while working at FedEx. The number two driver has been going around speaking 'as a christian' to other drivers that if they vote in the union that he would lose his job because of his illegally drawn pension. 'As a christian' he can go to hell in my opinion. The selfishness involved with our anti union guys is immeasurable. Don't even get me started on how rude they are. They seemed to have made it their mission in life to smear the one rail guy has led this campaign. All on a personal level. He is a much nicer guy than me. I would've laid all these cards out on the table a long time ago.

It seems they have nothing to say once facts enter the argument. Get a life Mr. Troll (Insane Trucker).

It seems most, not all, who oppose unions are the most selfish ones of all. The words that escape from their mouth most often are I, me, my, mine. They care zero for what any other employee has to endure. They also are typically experts in if a coworker should be terminated. They also typically enjoy eating sausage in the boss man's office.

Freight is only 13% of FedEx . If this thing went nation wide why wouldn't they just sell the freight segment and walk away ? We could all be starting over again. I make good money for what I do. Do I want more? Yes. Am I willing to give up my 75000 dollar a year job? NO! As drivers we all make good money don't put our jobs at risk because of greed. Look at other jobs out there and if your honest with yourself you will see we have it pretty good.

Freight earned 168 million dollars in NET PROFIT in the first qtr of FY14. Why do you sell, and how do you explain to shareholders, selling a company on pace to earn 672 million dollars profit? That's nearly 3/4 of a BILLION dollars!

A parcel company selling an LTL. Thats funny. This is just an opinion but in 15 years there will probably only a couple of independent LTL's left. There will only be a few major players left in trucking; UPS and FEDEX.

I mentioned on Friday, there would be a huge number of NEW drive by posters, posting false, and misleading info. Seems to have started On Sat... It will increase, dramatically in the coming week. FedEx is running scared, there can be no question. They'll try to scare with words like strike (their favorite), which is also their biggest fear, replace (there are no drivers qualified to replace us in significant numbers), loss of benefits, nice trucks, etc. etc. All laughable if thought through, with just a bit of logic.

The only question, is what to do about it... I don't have the time to pick apart every paid poster's spam ( and it is SPAM), BUT I'll do what I can. One option is to only reply when the post is at the top of the list... Otherwise let it fall off and die a quick death. Another is to post the best and truthful threads, keeping them at or near the top, so those seeking real info can find it.

Many are paid to do this, so they have time & incentive... Most probably have their own contracts. But most of all, THEY have NOTHING to to LOOSE, personally. They speak only from a Corp. level with a mission statement "FedEx Corporation will produce superior financial returns for its shareowners...)" If our effort to gain representation fails, we personally, have something to loose. If it succeeds, WE have EVERYTHING to GAIN, PERSONALLY. Think about it...

Who would this mystery buyer be? According to the LTL companies, the profit margin is small. I'd say odds are against YRC buying anyone. Who else would buy FXF? Shell out big bucks for minimal returns on investment. Plus UPS would then be the only one offering one stop shopping. I also have my doubts Amazon would be interested in investing in the LTL model.

Keep in mind I'm just speculating on something like this but YRC won't be buying anybody at all. My point was UPS and Fedex would be not only dominating parcel but LTL as well. Both of these companies could sow up that market place with their vast cash holdings and push out the smaller players. Coupled with so much regulation eating into these smaller companies cash flow which causes valuations go down. Amazon does't have the infrastructure to handle a trucking business. If they went into it I would be shocked and so would the market. I'm just speculating on the earlier point when someone said Fedex would sell the LTL arm if the union comes to the company. Not going to happen with the cash flow and freight rates rising.

I'm pretty sure it's in our MOU that YRC canNOT by anymore companies till way out of the hole. Who'd be foolish enough to loan them anymore money?

I drive a truck for a living and get paid well for doing it. I will not let greed drive me like the ones pushing for this. You guys give no thought to the political side of this. With your yes vote you are saying the hell with the country by supporting the dems. Look at where the country has gone the last 6 years. You guys complain about healthcare cost yet you support the union who supports Obama who has forced this obamacare down our throats. It will only get better when we start taking responsibility for our own actions.
Roadrunner you need to stop having the sausage breakfast under the stewards desk. IMHO

You make no sense. A yes vote is in support of a work environment and yes the teamsters support democrats and republicans alike WHO SUPPORT collective bargaining. Should you want to talk about who's complaining about healthcare our health insurance is tops. No company can come close to what we have as Teamsters. You want to pay for your companies current plan that your choice (a bad one). Before you do that make sure you contact one of the hospital specialist and see what they charge for critical care now and their forecasts down the road. Your Fedex plan won't be worth the paper its printed on. As far as personal responsibility I can say you all should take personal responsibility and vote yes to get the best insurance PERIOD AT ZERO COST. Unions are exempt from the ACA anyway so that argument is finished.

If UPS and Fedex had the capacity, they could put every LTL business in America out of business in 5 years if they wanted to.... The key is capacity, Fedex and UPS can't handle it all . The LTL divisions of FXF and UPS Freight have big corporate deep pockets to back them up and most other LTL's don't.
