On a new guys 1st run pulling triples, the NW safety inspector decided to do a check ride wth him on a test run. Mtn Home to Herm turn.....600 miles (100 miles at 65) &(400 milkes at 55). In a car it can be done, no way in a truck wth weight and numerous steep grades, construction and winter driving condition's.

It's about 200 miles in Idaho and 400 in Oregon (California North) If I never go back to Cal or Oregon it will to soon for me!!

He is not a new guy although he is a bit new to triples.. and they did not go to the New Hemiston Terminal they went to his normal meet point a few miles east of there.
