b) Paid Vacation: Vacation currently paid at more than forty (40) hours will be paid at forty (40) hours as follows: forty (40) hours for vacation earned in 2014; forty (40) hours for vacation earned in 2015; forty (40) hours for vacation earned in 2016; forty-two and one half (42.5) hours for vacation earned in 2017; and forty-five (45) hours for vacation earned in 2018. Vacation currently calculated at 1/52 will be based on 1/58 in 2014; 1/58 in 2015; 1/58 in 2016; 1/55 in 2017; and 1/52 in 2018. Daily vacation will be paid accordingly. These changes only apply to vacation earned after the Effective Date. Between the months of March and October, employees shall have the option of receiving pay in lieu of vacation. The payout of accrued vacation during this period will be in one (1) week increments.
YRC Freight is back to 1/52 as of one’s anniversary date in 2018, Western Supplement.
Vacation is earned based on years of service, e.g. 4 weeks after 20 years completed.
Weekly Vacation pay is averaged annually from anniversary hire date to anniversary hire date; divided by 52.
If one averages 55 hours per week, one is paid an hourly rate that reflects a 55 hour week.
We formerly received a third week after completing 7 years of service, but I would have to do some digging to verify weeks earned based on years of service.
