We had a little go around involving a video game called pong. 1972 retail price $80.00 and retailed for 299 as part of a console game set of 10 games in 1980. That is equal to about 635 or so in 2021 dollars. Inflated of course.
However, if you tried to sell it online value is about 150 dollars if mint etc and that would be pushing it in 2021 dollars.
Social Security is paying almost 6% next month but I expect medicare and medicaid to eat that up with their own increases.
