Yeah but the stock price has gone down. Probably because of the forecast of reduced earnings per share by OD and the transportation sector.

But, he noted, if retailers continue disciplined inventory management, existing levels could shrink over the next two or three quarters. And if the housing market is indeed bottoming out, carriers could see a strong second half in 2007,
"Increasing demand coupled with easier year-over-year comparisons would create an ideal environment for the companies," Hatfield wrote.

Shares of less-than-truckload carriers traded mixed at midday on the Nasdaq. Shares of Saia fell 35 cents to $24.44, Old Dominion gained 49 cents to $26.76, and Vitran lost 10 cents to $16.83. Shares of Arkansas Best advanced 13 cents to $37.48, while YRC Worldwide retreated by 35 cents to $39.49.8

Con-way dipped by 44 cents to $43.62 on the New York Stock Exchange.
