What happens when a driver has to take off 5 days of work because of illness reasons? Say he doesn't have any ptos or vacation days left. Does he need a note from a doctor and how many points does he recieve for 5 days off?

If I am not mistaken anything over 3 days you will have to have a Doctor's note to even come back to work. As far as piont I could not tell you.

If they are consecutive days off, then it's only counted against you once. And yes, Bankrupt is correct, the FMLA will come into play. They told us that it will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

IIRC FMLA comes into play but you must be under a doctors care (hence the note) and it must be at least three days...As Beerfd said it only counts as one occurrence as long as the days are consecutive. Under FMLA it may not count at all. Hope this helps
