How was the no call/no show policy altered?
Went from 3 no show/no call to 2. I know it's not that big of a deal, but anything that doesn't remain the same or increased, in my opinion is reduced/cut. Use whatever words you wanna use.

At Xph we are not affected by these changes . We will still get 5 bereavement days and the 3 no shows ( although I don’t know why someone would not call in) This is why we took a stand and decided enough is enough. We also have last years health coverage and priemums. Oh yeah and the new safety policy that goes into effect March first the further weaponizes Drivecam not here.

This is the stuff that adds up and degrades your overall compensation in the long run. Yes you will probably get and raise and Maybe even a one time bonus but you have to pay attention to the other hand and see what it’s taking.

If your not gaining in good times than what happens when things are bad. Don’t focus on the shiny object alone.

So how can you have it both ways? The barn in Florida believe they should have gotten those raise since the vote. Now you stand there and say this doesn't effect your barn or any other barn that voted in the union. You can't have it both ways. If the insurance and policy changes don't effect any of the barn that voted in the union then any pay raise or bounses should follow suit.

I think people are disappointed that the cameras were installed under the premise that they weren't gonna be used as a termination tool, but has turned in to just that. Cell phone use while in motion should not be tolerated period. This is more than likely the start of something more than cell phone use. There is too much room for situational interpretation and it will cost some folks their jobs. I'm sure you'll defend the camera cops to the end of the earth, but they aren't always right.

I think that statement was made with the assumption that people would stop doing whatever. I pass guys on the street and hear from customers about drivers that are surgically attached to their phone. How long before it's obvious that people aren't going to change something they do that's illegal and extremely dangerous? Way longer than it should have been, in my opinion.

There is too much room for situational interpretation and it will cost some folks their jobs.

It's not just the phone, I said that earlier. Those situations must be dealt with appropriately. You know as good as I do they can and will get nit picky. They have done it already and backed off from it when they sensed trouble. I'm not worried about the phone stuff either....I'm concerned with the other things that will come, like getting a drink of water.
 
If they start discipline for that, I'll be protesting just as loud as everyone else.

When you are presented paperwork to sign with a picture of you on your cellphone or maybe picking up your handheld to see what door you have while in the yard ( there is no difference in management's eyes ) one of the options is food based. So the framework is being put in place to escalate from "coaching" to punishment.
 
Was talking to driver from XLSL,and he said they heard last Friday it will be announced this week that all XPO employees will get a gift certificate,instead of a cash bonus,for a free treadmill from Nordic Trac. It will also be delivered,and set up,Free of charge, by last mile specialists...

Why not bring the other "business units" in line with the LTL side? Instead of lowering standards , why not raise them?
Truth - things are as good as they get then why reduce to lower compensation. Does it speak to the future

all we were told was that every april they go through that :horseshit: "market-based"analysis,how easy it is in each individual market to find and keep drivers,then your "raise" or lack of raise is based on that


So what happened that nearly everyone else is making more than us ? If they check it every year ?
