    If the high tax loving Liberals would pony up, do you know how many needy people could eat? They are just a bunch of hypocritical blowhards that love their money more than they love their fellow citizens.

    You've got that backwards. The rich don't affect things like retail. The rich need us to buy their stuff.

    So the poor people own those retail stores?

    And the rich people don't buy those products?

    OK. Got it. :1036316054:

    I use to hear that small business does most of the employment, And small business is not just started by just rich folks its folks who borrow beg or steal to open up a business. People did that by getting a 2nd mortgage on their house and maxing out the credit cards to get a start.
    Which made start ups real rare when borrowing was near impossible. Things are loosening up some now and people will begin to gamble on their dreams again.

    When 400 people have more wealth than the other 150,000,000, then yes, they need our purchasing power.

    The republicans in Congress would vote to spend it on some more military acquisitions that isn't needed or wanted.

    Did Obama fire anyone at the Pentagon for signing that check that went to pay for the 43 million dollar gas station......in Afghanistan? No.

    The military has lots of room for cuts, but so does the rest of our bloated Govt. And the only cuts that a Democrat will support has to be within the military.

    I doubt it's the gas station but it's the spreading of money around to buy friends is what they do.
    Like when Bush sent all that cash in the military cargo planes over to Iraq, remember that its wasnt 43 million it was 12 Billion.
    I would have loved to just see such a sum in one place, yes sir that would have been a great moment.

    Government waste is waste. People are sick of it at a whole new level. One of the reasons from Trumps numbers.
    Being in freight most my life I wondered how that much cash would be moved.

    That's one hundred million dollars in $100 dollar bills. So 13 skids which would fit in a pup but way too heavy. http://read-think-b4-u-write.blogspot.com/2011/07/visualizing-debt.html
    Oops my bad it would be 130 skids.

    Those are going to the illegals who've come across our porus border. Close it, and wages go up by competition.

    Guess we have to disagree. In your opinion it's untrue. In my opinion, it's 100% true. Matters not, since DCGrad will do nothing to fix it.

    No they're the problem. Right to work laws weakening unions is a contributing factor in the wage decline/stagnation. As I stated in another thread, the minimum wage, in inflation-adjusted terms, is currently more than 25 percent below its peak in 1968.

    The minimum wage is killing first time entry type workers. And illegal immigrants are pushing those (typically kids) aside from their first jobs, where they learn the value of a work ethic. If a person is intending to feed a family on minimum wage, they've already failed.

    You are equating a minimum wage raise to strictly making the federal minimum of $7.25. The reality is bringing the minimum wage up to $10.00 will affect millions more than those workers.

    http://www.epi.org/publication/wage-workers-older-88-percent-workers-benefit/

    Low-wage Workers Are Older Than You Think88 Percent of Workers Who Would Benefit From a Higher Minimum Wage Are Older Than 20, One Third Are Over 40

    • The average age of affected workers is 35 years old;
    • 88 percent of all affected workers are at least 20 years old;
    • 35.5 percent are at least 40 years old;
    • 56 percent are women;
    • 28 percent have children;
    • 55 percent work full-time (35 hours per week or more);
    • 44 percent have at least some college experience.
