Nine sick days, up from five, with the ability to "roll" days into the next year.

Employer to pay SAP costs, if on onetime lifetime. Alcohol included in "onetime lifetime"

Seniority yearly on all equipment

No interviews or interrogations without Agent or appointed steward. No more "another bargaining unit member"

Granting of leave for Parent/Teacher conferences that cannot be scheduled outside of working hours

Cannot be terminated for "Temporary loss of drivers license, if no work to perform get leave of absence without pay

All tractors will be equipped with deck plates that span the frame between the fifth wheel and the cab
No discipline because of ANY electronic device

Paid lunch between the 3rd and the 5th at the discretion of the employee

All equipment, air cond will be in operable condition ALL year around

I like the way you guys think! At the very least it gives you a heck of a starting point for discussion and negotiation. I just wonder why the International didn't have the cojones to put forth something like that and negotiate with the corporation from there.

Generalization,

Any Union leader that allows their segment of their industry i.e. Grocery Warehouses to allow outsiders, non-union as well as union men to do the work that is in their OWN facility thereby keeping the numbers in their local at the same level perpetually is no friend of Labor

This is how it is here in the Chicago area, Sysco,Marriott, US Foods etc.

This isn't that big of a deal and we'll leave it up to everybody else to judge. How does everybody vote, are we right or is the "Unionist" right?.

We say that "Keye Luke", of Chinese heritage played both Master PO and Charlie Chan's No 1.

The last popular role Philip Ahn played was the wise Master Kan, leader of the Shaolin Temple in the ABC TV series, "Kung Fu." Ahn played the part of the monk who held the rock out for Kwai Chang Caine (David Carradine) to grab from his palm and graduate from the Shaolin training. "Grasshopper, as soon as you are able to grab the rock from my hand you may leave the temple. . . ." This is probably the line that is best remembered from this era of his career. Ahn teamed up with his old Asian acting pals Keye Luke and Richard Loo to bring Eastern philosophy and martial arts to television in the early 1970s. "Kung Fu" still gets some airtime on TV reruns these days.
