705 Hats revisited 6.8.08

When asked by a member at the microphone about the EMBROIDERED hats with his name on them.
Steve P. responded "The hats were authorized". He actually had an edge to his voice as he responded.
Which answered the question.
We, the members of Local 705 paid for CAMPAIGN HATS for Steve P.
I personally find Steve's action as an affront to this membership. And a misuse of fund monies.
This is totally incorrect and abhorrent behavior, arrogant to the highest order.
THIS IS NOT THE STEVE P. LOCAL.
This is the I.B.T. LOCAL 705 Teamster Members Local.
A course of action would be to call the hall and express your disdain for this blatant misuse of our money.
If not, then you agree that it is OK for ALL of the members to pay for CAMPAIGN HATS for Steve, with our hard earned dues money.
What's next?
Maybe a New Tractor Trailer unit we do not need. It was rumored last year that they were considering buying such.
Have you looked at the condition of the facade of the auditorium lately.
It is in significant disrepair.
Maybe that is where our money should be spent?
Not on CAMPAIGN HATS to promote Steve.
