A guy in Alaska playing with his 4x4 Ford pickup learns a pricey lesson.

i say throw the book at the bastachit..wanna play games where it's against the law..?? screw you an pay.....and jail is another good thing too.

seizure of the truck should take place as well.

Alaska is tough on crimes like this and I would expect the perpetrator to get the maximum of everything.

Where was is buddy's ?? Hell we used to go four wheeling back in the river bottoms and had 4 inch strap & just back up & hammer the gas and snap pull em out of the mud holes !! Rookie's four wheeler's !!

A friend had some young timber destroyed by large 4X4 trucks. He drove some grader blades deep into the ground. He went back a few days later & found tracks indicating two trucks were pulled backward by another truck. The tracks indicated flat tires & there was antifreeze & oil on the ground. He hasn't had any timber destroyed since.
If these "Mudders" want to tear up ground they should buy their own property or pay a fee to run in a mud pit.

good for your buddy. yes indeed, pay a fee, or stay off private properties...

that would seem to make sense, but after all, there are "'senseless" people out there.

Grader Blades ?? Well he is lucky nobody got hurt , or they could have sued him , kinda like the guy that set a shotgun booby trap at his cabin & it shot the guy & he sued him and won ?? NOT saying it's right but it's what can happen !! and yes they need to go muddying on public 4x4 trails , but in my younger days we went muddying in the public river bottoms & no problems , with 36" Buckshot Mud tires & 383 Stoker motor & 4" snap strap we all came out of the mud holes !!

The man planted 40 acres of Loblolly Pine in rows. He had nursed the trees for several years & spent thousands on what was going to be part of a retirement or left for children. The mudders had pulled down gates & destroyed part of his lively hood. The sheriff couldn't watch the property. If the land owner had confronted the trespassers while armed he would be in trouble for making threats. The grader blades were worn take offs & were out of the ground enough to damage tires, radiators, oil pans etc. What would you do if some criminals were destroying your business?
Property/business owners are made out to be villains for defending what is theirs. Should business owners allow their property to be destroyed for some one's recreation?
There are several mud pits in the area that charge a small fee for anybody to use. There is nothing wrong with mud racing/pulls but private property is not the place for it.
