ABF | a reason to vote

Not everybody will vote on this contract, sad to say. Every one SHOULD. The ballot is mailed right to their door, it comes with a postage paid envelope so it doesn't cost anything to vote. Some people think their vote doesn't count but the truth is that not bothering to vote is in fact a vote, a non vote is the same as voting YES! If you don't want this to pass by default then, Please, take a few minutes to fill out and return your ballot IT MATTERS.

You are correct. It sucks but if only 100 ballots are returned, and all are NO votes, the T/A will pass. Thanks to the Teamsters bylaws on ballot counts. It is not a simple majority. Please, please, please vote.

Not everyone will vote but freight workers vote more than any other job sector in the Teamsters Union. I expect a turnout in the 90%+ range.
Simple majority of ballots cast isn't what works? I didn't know that one.
