TForce | A UPS worker has been killed in the W.Scramento,CA.Yard.

We've had a few close calls in our yard while looking for trailer numbers. Drivers become distracted and lose site of what's truly in front of them as they try to read trailer numbers.

  • They really need to start issuing trailer and door numbers together so we are not as distracted.
  • They should paint door numbers in front of trailers to help aid in finding trailer.
  • If trailer is in yard they need to inform the driver as well.
  • ...anything else they can think of besides radioactive vests.
...........Being proactive is better than being reactive.
 
I thought it odd that something as tragic as this could happen,with the safety measures UPS already has?
That is a reason I was hoping to see an update,or someone at,or near that service center,shed more light on this.

Happened a lot more than you hear about. Last year a contract carrier was backing under a trailer and ran over a security guard.
