Hazmat Hero™ is an Android application that helps you decide which placards are needed for your trailers depending on what hazmat materials are involved. Placarding hazmat can be confusing and downright frustrating, no worries though, we did the research and continue to do the research.

Hazmat Hero™ also confirms if the hazardous materials being transported together are legal. Hazmat Hero™ is fully equipped with the segregation charts.

Hazmat Hero™ is on sale right now for $4.99!

Hazmat Hero™ does not only tell you what placards you need but it will also tell you why you need them.

    Two suggestions...

Loose the Euro-cabover in the header.

Offer a free version to try out before buying. Maybe put a time limit or usage limit on it so we can test drive it. I use cargo decoder, but it doesn't cover explosives. I'd like to try before I buy.

I just really liked that picture, lol, but I do agree.

Ok I will try and get a trial version up by the end of this week, I was thinking about doing one but I was on the fence. Thank you for the suggestions.

Thanks. If it's something I can use, I'll have no problem forking over the dough. All I haul is ha mat, so I know the rules. It would just be handy to have them in my phone.

No worries I understand, just so you know I did integrate the explosive compatibility chart into the app as well. I will let you know when I get the trial version done.

I just put up Hazmat Hero™ Trial, you can now try it out for 5 days! I just put it up at 8:45 am est. and Google takes a couple of hours to do their part. This weekend I will get rid of the Euro-Cab over, I really like the picture though, if anyone has a beautiful picture of their own truck and doesn't mind that I use it for my website and any other advertisements please send the pic to me at support@hazmathero.com. Please make sure it is your truck and please write in the email that it is your truck and you are ok with me using the picture. Thank you all for your support and trying out Hazmat Hero!

Yes, that is one of the things I am working on now, not sure when it will be done as of now, but it is in the works.

UN0012 needs tweaked. It's a table 2 1.4 explosive, but is excluded from the labeling requirements. There's another one, but I'll have to look it up because I don't haul it very often.

Well, not really. The other one is UN0014. They are both small arms cartridges. Because they contain such small amounts of powder, they have no label requirements for highway transport.

Ok, gotcha, I could just make them permanent limited quantities then, I just found an article that they made them fall under the limited quantity guidelines in 2011.

Other than that what do you think so far?

***Update, I researched the UN0012 and UN0014, not that I thought you were wrong in any way, I just have to make sure...Anyway, the app is updated, thanks again for that, really appreciated it! You are more than welcome to email me at support@hazmathero.com as well or just talk to me here and that goes for anyone, if you have any concerns, questions or found an error please let me know.

It looks good. It sure would help for someone that hauls mixed hazmats. It doesn't help much for what I do because I primarily haul different explosives. Most of what I run into is compatibility issues.

Is there any plans to integrate the emergency response guide info into your app?

Yeah I understand, the ERG, maybe in the future but there are so many ERG apps out and the one I highly recommend is Cargo Decoder and they are good people I would hate to step on there toes. For compatibility of explosives it is all in Hazmat Hero, it checks for the groups C,D,E and so on and changes them according to the regulations and displays the warnings and restrictions. When the list on the main screen is expanded on each material it will show a button that says restriction or warning. Not that your obligated to buy this app in any way, just wanted to let you know just incase you didnt realize.

I use cargo decoder all the time, mainly for curiosity of what others are hauling. Very nice app.

I guess I didn't realize the compatibility part was there. Very nice. I like the reference to the regs. Headed to Google play to get the full version.
