FedEx Freight | Any news on if there will be an October pay increase?

Well theres

The 1st lie I can name what's not covered anymore, 2nd past practice buddy we'll see .
1st) What part of "I can't speak for what's not covered" did you not comprehend??

2) Your center hasn't started negotiations yet so what are you worried about...you'll still get the raise and increased premiums too!! :1036316054:

Political ******* for who clt over a $30 raise compared to our healthcare coverage lol. Smoke n mirrors. Like I said we are self insured using the excuse of obamacare n insurance companies raising premiums has nothing to do with us as a self insured company.

Because of rising healthcare cost...duh!!
Do you realize how much money the company spends annually on healthcare??

I'll give you a hint...it's in the billions!!

Estimated in the Billions... not actual actually,

Page 35 in the latitude, longitude, altitude Fedex Annual Report 2016

And the cost includes everything from workers comp, vehicle accidents,etc...

Not just the cost of paid medical claims from employees general health insurance.

I'm not worried about nothing were getting the raise, but I could careless if we did or didn't. We make a decent wage, I'd rather have better healthcare any day of the week than that raise bud. You need to stop hanging with steve.

Here ya go...

Again, since it's the only issue that's been negotiated so far, the only way for a contract to be present for the members to vote on would be if they were voting for a contract on every single issue, period.

And I too said last Friday, BEFORE Sat's negotiations, that "...I do see the two centers that have already started negotiations still getting the raise...", as seen below...

...but for different reasons. The precedent that you keep mentioning may or may not have affected us, that all depends on what evidence was found by the NLRB had the company NOT negotiated that raise with the union. News Flash: the union can approve anything during negotiations without approval from the members in order to achieve the best possible offer, that's what they were elected to do!! The members voice their approval/disapproval once an offer from the company has been made, otherwise the members would have to vote on every single issue, which doesn't happen!!
Trust me, the ONLY way there will ever be a contract is if the members agree to take less just to get a contract...and we won't let that happen!!
Try again liar! He did not say stuff had to be negotiated and voted on separately! liar liar pants on fire. Once again caught lying

Let's break down the raise vs the increased premiums....

At the current pay scale for your center, the .75 per hour raise equates to an extra $130 per month gross for a 40 hour week with no OT factored in for simple math. The premiums for the most expensive insurance plan is to increase on average about $14 dollars per month.
This means the increased premiums for the most expensive insurance plan are only about 11% of your raise which leaves you with about $116 per month, or about 89% of your original raise still in your pocket.

After deducting the increased premiums for the most expensive insurance plan from your original raise, the final raise amount for your center would be about .67 per hour...still not to shabby for a raise IMO!!

Note: The raise amount may vary depending on the pay scale used for one's center and which type of insurance plan one has chosen.

A consession is just that any way you slice it.

First off red I never ever once said that each issue is voted on. Never. Now if you want to take everything I say on here and twist to mean what you want it to mean so be it. If that gives you a thrill that's fine. Anyone with any reading comprehensionskills of any kind knows what I was saying. So with that being said you win, I'm not going to argue everything with you its just not worth it. Have a nice night

The coverage isn't changing but the premiums are going up slightly depending on which plan you have.

Here's a pic @chitownpeddler posted in another thread taken from FB...

If you look at this post from FB the most expensive plan is the family, now then if you have children and are married you are covering more people I understand, but if it's just you and your wife you have to pay the same as a family.

Then if your divorced and have to have coverage on your children which I understand, you pay less than I do. How is this fair. Now I know every marriage doesn't work out for whatever reason, but someone please explain how a employee and spouse only cost more than a employee and children. It makes no sense to me.

Drivers need to factor in the prescription drug costs for themselves and family members that they have insured that Optum/My Catamaran do not any longer cover as of July 2016. As well as the unpredictable formulary that does and can change at anytime.

Any prescription not covered that you decide or have no choice but to pay for out of pocket will not count toward your Maximum prescription out of pocket cost. This means a few grand for some families

Aside from the Cigna Premiums for a family of 4, the funds given in the HRA, $1500 put and used in the FSA, we still are paying over $400 a month for family prescriptions that my Kids need that Optum just will not give authorazation for. This are meds that are common and have always been covered. For 10+ years!

The insurance sucks and will Bankrupt many drivers with families and kids with serious medical problems and those who need prescriptions that are no longer covered.

A freakin fast acting asthma inhaler for my kid went from a $5 copay to $40 with Optum. Another med went from a $5 copay to Optum removing it from the formulary and it is now $400.00 + if I buy it out of pocket for my kid.

So, specialists were removed from negotiated rates until deductables are met 2 yrs go. Never told that was going to happen. Last year we get Optum/mycatamaran who changes and refuses to fill meds at will.

I get that if a driver does not like it that they can look elsewhere.

But for Christs sake... lets just admit.. the Insurance sux ballzz and the raise does not touch the up coming rise of the insurance rates and prescription costs.

I max out my out of pocket for insurance and prescription with in the first 3 months of every year. I'm thankful we have great insurance compared to what other people have. I have even been told by doctors and nurses that I have excellent insurance. I have never been denied any treatment or prescriptions. Now I don't know your situation, but that is my experience with our insurance. This might help with your prescription problems but did you ever contact the drug maker for the prescription you need. My friend has the same problem and contacted the drug company and was able to get a $10,000 grant from them to go towards the payment of the drug. So instead of paying $250 for it he was only paying $25. Just something you might want to look into.

Shouldn't have to do any of that if our insurance is so great as you claim. Kind of funny only a select few think our insurance is good gee i wonder why.

Do you think with fedex holding #1 spot on top 25 LTL carriers you guys have the insurance you have?
No has nothing to do with it. Being that healthcare is one of the main causes of an employers low bottom line that is why they are self insured. They save tons of money by being self insured. Blue cross blue shield is a negotiator on getting those bills down. Another reason why some stuff gets denied.

You must be lucky or the exception to the rule. I don't know of anyone that there DRS. Have said we have great healthcare, it's the total opposite and have spoken to many in financial hardship because of it I think your full of it or your out of touch.

99% of those programs are income based. I am able to use 1 program for 1 medication the kids take.

Grants work the same way, income based.

You meant to be helpful with your advice, thank you. I dont mean for this to come across as rude..

However.... one simply does not raise a child with Autism without having researched every single resource available. Fedex actually for free will let parents get a free print out of a whole kit on how to get companies to pay for Autism treatment from every other entity but them. Ironically, it even has advice on how to persude self funded plans to cover treatments and meds..ha ha.

Political ******* for the union of course, they're in a no-win situation.
Increased insurance premiums has nothing to do with being self insured, the rising cost of healthcare effects everybody!!

You obviously are worried or you wouldn't be on here and FB complaining!!

Who's Steve??
