I think it took a couple weeks for me. Just depends how fast they want to push it through. They do a background check the basic stuff.

The fitness test is actually a bunch of different tests. You pick heavy things up and set them at various heights (I wasn't told the weights, I'd guess most of the lifts are in the 50-70 lb range, with a couple 100 pound lifts), do some stairs (checking your pulse before and after), Range of Motion exercises, etc. You get a couple of tries at each evolution. Only one I had to redo to meet the standard was the push test (had to exert 70 pounds of pushing force). It's a bit of a ball buster, but nowhere as bad as actually throwing groceries.

I think the hiring process took a couple of weeks, two interviews, about a week after the second interview I was offered a job and set up with an appointment for the drug test, physical and physical agility test. Including the 2 weeks notice at my previous employer It took me about 5 weeks from app to job. The sucky part is you get through all that then you have to redo the application with pen and paper at orientation. Kinda silly when they've already run the background check off the online app.

So can anyone tell me if PFG would be a good move? The pay sounds low as advertised. I was hoping for some up to date info on oay and schedule.

Just depends if you like to work your tail off. The faster you are the more you get paid. What I mean you get paid 3 ways case, stops, and mile. You get done early you make
more per hour. It decent pay but loaders and pickers sux. Just like everyone elses

We're straight hourly at our OPCo. The outfit up north they bought out a year or so ago pays salary plus $20 an hour for over 40 hours (no time and a half). Each subsidiary company has slightly different pay & benefits.

Might have to work for a living. A guy that started a week before me wants to bid on my shuttle gig, which I assume would bump me to a route. I've covered sick days and the like so I have some exposure to the work. Bidding is sometime around the end of February so we'll see.

I went Friday for an interview, road test, and drug test. I go tomorrow and don't DOT and agility test. I should start orientation on 8.23. I'm a hard worker and needed a job. I drove OTR for over 3 years. I'm keeping a positive attitude and will be diligent
