I would have to ask what you mean by 'secure'. If you're backing against a utility pole in NYC to prevent theft while you're parked it's swinging doors all the way, a roll up wouldn't keep the bad guys out, same if you're backed against a dock anywhere with the door locked.

they are both secure, to a degree.

roll up doors, can be VERY secure, if you back up to another trailer, or a wall. just not necessarily a dock.

swing doors are VERY secure if you back into a dock, or against another trailer or a wall.

at my company, we use roll up doors, i like them over swing especially in bad weather.

but if the cable breaks, good luck in lifting that door....~!!!!~

Security is about the same for both. Extra security is a good lock.
Roll up doors are used more for pickup and delivery (P&D)
Swing doors (Barn doors) are used more for Over the road (OTR) and some Regional.

Security of either construct is only as secure as its' weakest point.
