I find it hypocritical when the pro-union crowd says they don't want to "beg", yet Clt drivers are calling the Lou drivers BEGGING them to vote yes so that they won't be the only "big fish" in the pond! Are they starting to second guess they're decision? Are they worried about what will happen when FedEx drops their net into the pond when there's only one "big fish" to catch?

As I'm not in CLT or LOU, I don't know that this is happening. But when people get on TB and ask others to vote the way that they would like to see the vote go is that begging? I believe that people have been giving their support to those that are voting, and letting them know how they feel. Whether it is for or against. People are going to be politicking all the way to the vote. As far as 2nd guessing their decision, I wouldn't think so. But since you obviously do, did the company 2nd guess their decision about scorecard and critical write-ups for 1st offense before or after the union came into play?

If helping a fellow co-worker sober up and stop drinking the purple kool-aid is considered begging ...

then I WILL GLADLY DO THAT! Because unlike corporate I care about my fellow co-workers and want them to see the value in being united.

I want them to see that united we will be able to negotiate for a better compensation and a real retirement that will allow us to work towards a comfortable life in our golden years and not one that will require us to pass out happy face stickers at walmart.

I want them to see the value in their hard work and fight for what they deserve and not what corporate says they are worth.

So call me a beggar all you want.

From what I am hearing Lou petition will be pulled also. Not enough support. At least the CLT guys that voted no don't have to pay any dues, hell the guys that voted yes don't have to pay dues either "right to work" state. Interesting isn't it.

who are the cops trying to keep off the clt property.cops have been posted at our yard thursday and friday checking id.do tell please.

nobody has to pay dues

a center that voted yes will again as a group have to vote again along with the rest of the drivers at that center on any contract.

if a contract is voted in then they will start paying dues from that day forward

if a contract is voted in the union initiation fee is waived

if a contract is voted in years of service at fedex will be credited towards the union pension (up to 10 years of credits towards the union pension)

until then no one is paying dues.

and a real retirement that will allow us to work towards
Don't understand this Quote. A real retirement????? Last time I check We have a REAL retirement. It's called a 401K. That pension that FXF GAVE us. Nobody forced them to GIVE us the pension. It's free money doesn't cost you a dime but you still cry and complain about a lousy pension. if your counting on that for your retirement I hope you like the taste of Alpo. And your a pretty lousy money manger. That pension to me is nothing more than some numbers on a piece of paper. If they where take it back tomorrow I'm really not out anything but those same numbers on that same piece of paper.

So the union is going to pay for 10 years backpay of pension for these drivers? Where is that money coming from? The union won't even let their own employees organize but they are promising you guys 10 years credit in the pension for a yes vote? They will say or do anything for a yes vote. They don't have that money boys they can't pay for the guys that are already in the pension much less all of us.

in clt there was no mention of years of service being credited.where did you hear this?in fact if i remember we where told 5 years to vested but could be voted on for less time.no time did i hear the 10 year thing, too good to be true.

Do you think Fedex employees income and retirement packages are enough for a husband and wife when he retires if it's their only income ?
nd a real retirement that will allow us to work towards

That depends on which fund you are talking about, there are several different funds!! You should probably do some home work first.... And what employees of the Union are not organized????

So... Those that work hard and do their job, have no problems with management, make good money doing what we do, and don't really want the teamsters representation automatically drink purple kool-aid. Very deep insight from yet another small minded union supporter that just can't understand why someone would be happy with their job. How nice of you to put it on your back and care so much about us to help us see the value of a untied front, that's just special. The problem is you people think FedEx is going to roll over and give us the world in negotiations, if you think that you my friend are drinking the union kool-aid. The CLT vote was quite amazing, they lost the support of 60 people in 2 weeks. But a win is a win for the union, won't celebrate too much guys, cause you know come next year when there is no contract, they will lose more support and be kicked out. What happened to the other nc terminals filing the day after the clt vote? They want to see CLT out on an island, just like Richmond got cold feet, Louisville I suspect will fall or pull, snw is gone, so what we got? Two tiny terminals in the north east and Charlotte. Thanks to you people, everything we have is frozen. Raises, health care, no bonuses all frozen. The only way it won't be is if and only if the teamsters allow FedEx to give us a raise or a bonus, but does anyone really believe that's going to happen? Oh and the health care, that seems to be a hot topic. In 2018 you will see everyone go to the affordable Care act, even the teamsters who's exemption is up that year. You people really think the Republicans are going to give special privileges to the unions, think again. You people better be good little teamsters and vote for democrats, that is the only way y'all have a chance of getting a hand out. Which that is what this all boils down to, y'all can't be happy with what you got, you see somebody with more and whine and cry it. You are the same people that wouldn't have a problem taking a hand out from the government. Bunch of freeloaders, never happy with what you got. Some of the road drivers make close to six figures a year, that a lot more than any red shirt you see. With the overtime and the options of running Saturday that a lot of city drivers have, we also have the opportunity to make a great living for our family. So, if you people wanted the union so bad it would have been better for you to go apply at yrc, Holland, abf, or even upsf. Now we not only have our sometimes incompetent management to deal with, we also have the ignorance of the teamsters to deal with also. I'm not asking y'all to go away mad, just go away. We're a better company without the IBT.
