See that is what I mean someone heard....why don't they have the b----s to tell the reddaway people that, why should they have to read it here. If it is true those people s---. Get some ba--s and let those poor people know what is going to happen. Zollars is like a hemmoriod , a real pain in the ---!

Where did you hear this??? Rumor mill??? Are you a Reddaway Line driver??? If so, many of you start rumors that have no truth to them and everyone gets all up in arms about it. If this is not rumor then I apologize but I get sick of hearing the Reddaway line drivers complaining about things that never happen. It is old!!! Can you show us where this information you heard about is coming from?

For what it's worth, if you go to the Yahoo Finance message board and read the postings for today you will see the same messages. . . aka rumor. And no, I'm not a line-haul driver. I'm a city driver for Yellow.

Email Wednesday about Reddaway having a meeting/conference call Thursday was sent out to Holland management. Don't know anything for sure, I never do but something sure seems to be happening? Let us know if you hear anything tomorrow.

To: All YRC Regional Transportation Employees
Over the years, USF Reddaway and USF Holland have built strong reputations
for being leading providers of high quality next-day and second-day regional
service. The outstanding service quality and on-time delivery performance they
provide are only possible because of the quality of their people and the design of
their regional networks. Protecting that level of service and quality is one of the
most important things we must do – and at times it means making some difficult
decisions.
Today, we are announcing the planned shutdown of six USF Holland service
centers located in Albany, GA; Jackson, MS; Lumberton, NC; Little Rock, AR;
Mobile, AL; and Metter, GA; and all 21 of the USF Reddaway service centers
located in Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The decision to close
these facilities was difficult, but necessary.
The six USF Holland service centers are on the fringe of the company’s territory
and represent only a small portion of their business. USF Holland continues to
serve over 95% of the population within its new 21-state service area. The 21
affected USF Reddaway locations have not measured up to our service and
profitability standards. USF Reddaway can now focus on their new 11-state
footprint, and western Canada, where they have a proven track record of
success.
After the closures, the USF companies will continue to offer customers indirect
service into these points through other resources within the YRC North American
Transportation group of companies. Additionally, the affected USF employees
may apply for open positions at other YRC Worldwide locations. Specific details
will be made available to these employees.
USF Holland and USF Reddaway are strong companies and these changes will
allow them to focus on their core areas and strengths. Providing a consistent,
high-quality service is absolutely key for us to remain a leading provider of
solutions that meet the stringent requirements of our regional customers.
Thank you for your effort, hard work and dedication in providing our customers
with best-in-class service.

USF Reddaway

Reddaway's closing is due to Yellow and Roadway taking their good freight. No salesmen. and to make all this worse is the TM knew yesterday and was threaten if they told employees before today. I smile and laugh because God has our backs. I wonder if the other guys know that God makes us all pay, somehow , someway. I stand proud because I know more about freight, than any of these idiots.

Breaking News From Mike S., Akron, Ohio

Mike S., CEO of YRC North American Transportation announced today the closing of 6 USF Holland terminals in...
Albany, GA,
Jackson, MS,
Lumberton, NC
Little Rock, AR
Mobile, AL,
Metter, GA

also the closing of all 21 USF Reddaway terminals in the states of
Louisiana,
New Mexico,
Oklahoma,
Texas!

Nice of Mike to announce this the day before the ballot counting starts! Hey, it's just "business" right?! I can see a real battle starting about the closing of terminals at Holland and Reddaway while the freight is transferred to Yellow and Roadway! What about the WARN Act? What about a change of operations? What about following the work? WHERE'S TYSON AND JIMMY?!:chairshot:

I had to delete ReddawaySup's posts due to the fact that internal memos are not allowed to be posted here. However, the message was that Reddaway will close all 21 terminals located in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico affective 2-22. I wish the best to all affected employees.

TRUE STATEMENT OF CLOSURES
Just informed of this by my T.M. today 2/7/08 I'm a Reddaway Line driver from Los Angeles CA.
According to my manager this will affect approximately 1200 drivers.

Fontana I hear even though not closed down will lay off at least 50-60 more people in the next week spread out over p&d,line, dock ,office ,supervisors due to loss off freight and loss of runs over the closures
