I'll take you up on that, social security is nothing more than a Ponzi scheme. I hope somebody got some security out of it but it's been ***** so bad I'll be on the losing end of that beat stick when my time to draw comes around. So screw social security. Give me my money and let me invest it. It least I have a chance to make money on it. They are just stealing it from me

Canadians ask themselves daily can they Trust Americans I think Canadian's are more concerned with Us than we are with them They are Proud people whom Frankly don't have near the Drama We do !! I Am a Canadian whom lives here and I know how they fell About Americans 99% of them wish we would keep are garbage here in the states and not Bring it across the Border into Canada !! Truth be known !!!
 
At the risk of raining on everyone's parade, our healthcare system is terrible up here. Because it's a single payer system, the government dictates what is covered and what isn't. It's provincially regulated so the rules change depending on which province you're from.

I pay in taxes for healthcare, yet more things are delisted every year. I pay for my medical review. I pay for any prescriptions. I won't pay if I break my leg, but it'll take 8 hours of waiting before I see a doctor to get a cast and crutches.

And if you need life-saving surgery? Get in line. A doctor will tell you that you have 6 months to live unless you get surgery, but you can't get the surgery for 9 months because you have to wait in line. Canadians were coming to the US to get life saving surgery done at cost to them, something that isn't allowed under a single payer system.

I'm not saying that I know what the solution is, but letting the government run ANYTHING is a bad idea.

Pretty simple solution, don't cross the border if you feel both sides cant be trusted....

I saw a Canadian and a citizen from the US arguing over somthing that I never thought about before - The Canadian said he was an American since he was from North America. Just like an Asian is from Asia an European is from Europe and so on and so on....

Do you think of yourself as an American if you are a native Canadian?

If the British renounced the British crown, I don't think anyone would notice. Nevermind us. It's been a very long time since the Queen's involvement in ruling the British Empire was actually relevant, and nowadays it's largely a traditional formality.

Thanks for clearing that up. A lot in the US believe your health system is the greatest thing in the world.
I have friend is the Detroit area say the same thing that Canadians are book appt. just to get test done like CT scams and MRI not just surgery.

A lot of border towns are full of Canadian appointments for tests. I have a friend who's dad had brutal knee pain. 5 month wait for an MRI. Two hour drive south, 400 bucks later, MRI in hand the next day.
