Back in the late 80's there was the buyout that we stood up against. 042 was the hold out. I was new, wasn't sure what was going on. Most of those guys are gone now. But they fought hard and left this for me.
Abf and robert young survived. We did very well all these years. Every contract has always been tough. Robert young said, "I'm not sure what we are doing, but we are doing it right, so keep it up." That was back when it was realy family. He once apologized to us for not keeping up with the changes. That was in a video we watched. I found that interesting that he would apologize. Now we have howdy and complains about how much he has to pay us in benefits. Times sure have changed?

I do not disagree with you at all. Back in 1969 I worked for a privately owned union carrier. The owner told us that he didn't care how much he had to pay us, just as long as his competitors had to pay their drivers the same amount....Yes, since deregulation, times sure have changed.
