The cost for health coverage (Plan R-4) after retirement is going up to $695.00 per month for an individual, $995.00 for participant and spouse. If you are in the process of or planning on retiring you need to figure this into your planning. The cost has risen dramatically for the last 2 years and in all likelyhood will continue to do so. At this point, is there anybody left who doesn't realize what a tragedy Yellows purchase of Roadway and USF Holland was? It has led to the financial ruin of thousands of families, many at too late a point in their life to have any hope of recovery. Rot in hell William Zollars.

best of luck super . thats why it wouldnt be a bad thing for some1 with 20 + years but young enough to move on if this dump did close just for that rip money .

No doubt longblade. The RIP money is the savior of this whole situation. Thank God we could take the money and run. The money from the defined benefit plan, pretty soon they'll just be taking all of that to cover the health care. But hey, look at the bright side, we get a shiny paper newsletter mailed to our house that reminds us to eat our vegies, be careful on ladders, don't stick your tongue in a wall outlet, and don't hit yourself in the head with a hammer.

That is correct correct. Leveraged buy-outs destroy jobs and lives. The Central Pa. Fund may be in better shape then CSPF but I'm sure they didn't escape big damage and have to stop pension accruals like the rest of the Funds.
Big cuts are in store for Medicare and Social Security that may make retiring not a happy time if not impossible. The country and the company has too much
debt!!
