I love logistics too (get it ?) and maybe want what UPSF are getting in regard to total comp. BUT......

That means we would have to ask for MORE than what they are getting and then NEGOTIATE DOWN to compromise and agree to what they are getting.

I understand the ideal but I've NEVER had the car dealer accept my first offer.

go back to canuckistan, hoser. im just sick of the anti barack obama sentiment that is so abundant, yet all the same people who spout off about him have had absolutely NO changes in their life because of him. they still have the same insurance, its going up at the same rate it was BEFORE obamacare, they still have their guns, and yet, he is the root of all evil....

I am thinking about it, maybe you need to think about it bro. Fedex themselves tells us we are the BIGGEST AND THE BEST, so why should we have a contract that says that. Then if we do go back a little to ups contact that's good to.

the 2nd amendment has been dead for almost a century. if the 2nd amendment was not castrated, id be able to buy select fire rifles, among the very least of what it was meant to protect. its a paper tiger. the 2nd amendment will come back into effect whenever i can walk into a gun store and buy a m3 or m249, so dont hold your breath....

Move to PA, you can have open carry in most counties. My buddy has **** that will cut through heavy armor. If he had those same weapons across the bridge in North Korea, I mean New Jersey, he would be in prison for 20 years. 2nd Amendment alive and well here.

Your comparing the whole USA to the teamsters union!!! Kinda dramatic don't you think..... Just why don't you tell us just what position you have in the big scheme!! We're all pretty much up front with what we do, So why don't you put a little focus on your primary position in all this!!!!! Just asking!! What do you have to gain or lose????

More than likely the upsf contract will be a starting point. Don't forget those contracts were negotiated in 2008 when the recession was in full swing. So will FedEx employees get a contract like upsf freight. I'm not sure but one thing I would bet on is it will be a way better contract. With the driver shortage going on wages will be higher, count on some stronger work rules regarding seniority. You guys are not going to be voting on a garbage contract.

One thing that was said in the insurance bomb post was the CFO would be negociating for the customer. That's fine just remember the teamsters will be negociating for their customer and that is you!!! There is no reason you guys should sell yourselves short. Demand the best contract in the union and settle for nothing less.

true, some states are still ok with select fire and open carry, but either way, no pres is ever going to touch repealing any of the laws that would restore it. they arent going to pull the 86 ban, the 68 gca, or the 34nfa. at this point, its a paper tiger. you get fanatics at gun show talking about armed rebellion, i would like to ask them with what? a few guys with semi auto rifles? when a guy can buy a case of grenades, or some law rockets, thats a right to keep and bear arrms. unless its that, its just a hobby.....

Duecey, my vibes are not negative, really. I want more too. We are the G**DAMN Best !

It's all about compromise. And (I think) I'm being realistic.

The ideal of a union and what it should represent is noble and should be revered.

But what it's become is no better than what many want to escape.

My two cents (USD).
 
nah, id go with it, if nothing else you should get much better insurance out of it, fedex will play ball, they already do with the pilots union....

Yes I believe we are the best and that we deserve and have earned the best contract, and I know there will be compromise. When you try to buy out sell a house you don't start with you worst price, you start out with your ideal price.
