:ranting: yes they do need to get the boot they just plain suck , i am writing the board of directors and start complaing to them , we need to do something, thier hmo is the crapper, and thier open network access in not any  better, as much as we pay cigna for thier inept service , they should provide more, i know some of you drivers are happy with the medical ..but just wait one time till they shaft you on something, like the $300.00 decuctable thats a bunch of hogwash:censored2: so start writing to the board of directors , and if we all slam then if enough letters they will respond

i never had a problem with the cigna i think its great and wouldnt change a thing. i guess you would have a problem with getting insurance to cover lepracy or something like that :maddance3:

Does the company even seek bids from other insurance companies???
Or is there some reason we only deal with cigna????????

it probably has something to do with conway being self insured

conway and cigna are hand inhand inthe insurance bussiness, the think that gripes my butt is the 1% deal an the 85/15% co pAY or the 70%/30 out of network plan, if we are paying for the insurance then i should have a say in MY COVERAGE but conway wont that happen :owned:

first of all paul i dont find comment very amusing. thier are driver here at conway who have families who are seriously ill and NO MY FAMILY IS NOT ILL nor do they have lepracy, but i know a driver cwx that got that crap and the hmo cign gave hime a hard time , who needs to be hassled , when your ill?certainly not by your insurance carrier, oh by the way if you have a serious condition and you are covered by an insurance plan. they cannot denie you treatment or coverage, that is federal law, :14: i know your comment was not directed at me , so have agood day , remember cigna is owned by a group of investors aka attorneys and doctors ,

We were on the ppo two years ago . did not go to the dr at all for the whole year . Change to the hmo no problem . but we have not had anything out of the ordonary . But i do remember the company we had before this one . that was bad bad bad .

cigna hmo has been working out pretty for me. as lon as you dont have a problem getting your pcp to refer you to some one who is in the network. the only problem i have had is finding a ear nose throat doc. i dont miss all the out of pocket expenses from the ppo. but i will say alot of doctors and specialists have signs that they do not accept cigna. the hmo works for me...

didnt mean for it to upset you. i was just trying to say that if you have MAJOR medical problems, thats when the insurance companies tend to be on the shady side for some reason.
