I have heard there is lawers going from term to term talking to workers about a class action lawsuit started by workers for lost pay for OT and other work done and not paid for. Ihope this is true and you all win:icon_dance:

It's always a west thing. Rob should sell that side of the country to Swift for $10

Sorry to hear some working here feel they're being short changed. I'm get paid for everything I agreed to when orginally hired on. When you go to work for someone shouldn't you be aware of what their pay/work policies are before hand? If they cut my pay or make changes after the fact, I don't sue them- I just go down the road to a better job. Don't understand why the greedy lawyers got to get involved.

My check is normally a few dollars more than expected. I have never had a problem about being paid for something. My checks have been sooo good I seldem pick them up or even check on them on a weekly baises. (No kiddin) I don't know if its that my wife makes good money or I just never had it this good. I do a lot of free ::shit:: just because I'm a nice guy. For instance... the Sweetwater Tx terminal has a sign that says, "No driver is to break down a set unless aprooved by dispatch. I broke the set down because I knew a rain storm was coming and it didn't bother me to spend a minute and 45 sec to break it down. I also grosed over $2100 that week and thought I did good for a dumb ass truck driver

Oh you all misunderstand This is for when rob bought GI Trucking and said NOOOOOOOOOOOOO we are not going to take anything away from you. Then they bent everyone over. They did not sign up for that.:1904:

Right Mildew. Last week I had an outbound set hooked for me up in Mpls. Didn't like the looks of the dolly 5th wheel latch/ wasn't quite all the way in. I pulled the set apart, put dolly buy the shop, put a new one on my lead+ backed it under the tail. Then went in and got numbers changed. All took about 15 minutes, no big deal/ no charge. Company didn't try to screw me. They paid the spotter to orginally hook the set so why should they get stuck for the same job 2 times? And oh yes, my set went to Indy which paid me over $300 for about 10 hours of driving, then to a very nice motel.

You should take the blinders off dude your hatred for the west is impairing your ability to remember the previous posts. Wasn't it you who alluded to Pulaski, or how about Baltimore or Chicago. Do I need to go on or is the discontent those places and others just like them happen because of the west even though there was no west at the time. Seems the ones in the south of the country are the ones who are willling to do things for free ( the Swift way ). As for the memos they force employees to sign they do not supercede the law and just for ya'lls information the company agreed to obey the laws of each and every state they operate in as well as federal regulations in order to do business and if they violate those laws they need to be called on it if not it will just be a race to the bottom and back to sweatshop labor. ( if I ain't mistaken that is why most of these laws exist ) You guys do as you want and if that means violating the law and working for no compensation that is cool with me I have even given some of those same things from time to time but let's not begrudge anybody else who would like to hold these guys to the letter of the law but the company has the same choice as we do and that is to follow the rules or quit the game. I gotta kind of agree with BuzzBeez though in that it is a shame that the greedy lawyers need to be involved.

I had friends in Pulaski but that doesn't mean I didn't think they were eat up with it. Maybe us southern folks don't stress out over the nickle and dime ::shit:: or we just appriciate what is given to us. This is not my company and I am not the one that decides how it should be ran. Abf is hiring and we haven't had anyone quit. Everyone must be content here in the south

ABF has high standards:icon_dance:

Lawyers are involved because they want their 40% Obama needs the money for his reelection campaign. My paychecks are fat and I'm happy. Last time I checked trucking companies that operate Interstate commerce are exempt from OT rules. I could be wrong this is my understanding but what do I know I'm only a college edumacated linehaul freight relocation specialist!
