Dunno about school grads, but.......the class b is useless in an LTL setting as Saia doesn't have that many bobtail trucks. A driver should be licensed to drive any piece of equipment put on the street.
In some locations we do hire class B drivers. In the PDX region they are being trained to be Class A. They all come with a minimum of 1 year experience with the Class B license and the safety department works with them to move them into a class A license.
We do hire out of school but only for the dock.
